Its disgusting how ONLY the media disrespects Kobe Bean Bryant
Telling the truth isn’t disrespectful. Just bc you don’t wanna hear something doesn’t mean it’s disrespectful. It just means you’re sensitive 🤣

That 3/4 year period where the media and sponsors didn't f with him would have been a completely different discussion had that never happened. He probably does beat out Nash for the MVP. He probably doesn't get more help instead of the absolutely garbage that he had.
Been watching ESPN for 24 yrs. All of these 🤡 have fallen hard
Even without Shaq Kobe went to 3 straight finals with only one all star in Paul Gasol who’s also a HOFer but he averaged less than 20. Kobe won back to back chips. And even next to Shaq he was putting up Elite numbers.
He averaged 28, 25 & 30 during the regular seasons the years they 3 peat, that’s not someone riding coat tails or being carried. In the playoffs he averaged 21, 29 & 26 next to Shaq
Bron went and teamed up with the 2nd best SG in the league at the time and one of the best PF in bosh. And still barely won 2 after all the hype. That’s like prime Kobe leaving to team up with prime T Mac, Vince Carter & KG or something. Bron never won with only one all star. Kyrie & K Love were also all stars

Incorrect.
Real ones know Kobe is in that conversation. The media doesn’t want to agree with it because they don’t like Kobe. We all know the reasoning behind it. i think its the opposite after he passed people are looking his career in rose tinted glasses
Nah even before he passed he media was still hating on him
nobody is hating on him and they tried to force him in more conversations after he died
Well he’s not on a podcast saying how great he was so ppl forget. Lebron reminds the world every time he’s at a mic how great he is 😂😂
Whoever didn't know this before Shaq said it clearly doesn't know basketball. Like Buck said back in the day "I KNOW YOU GONNA LET ME SHINE AND GET MINE", give Kobe his credit. I've had my Kobe posters and merch since the Shaq and Kobe days and no one could tell me otherwise til this day Kobe's not the GOAT.
Go to every team best player or players, they consider Kobe their goat. PLAYERS!! and media, like they know how to play, disrespect Kobe like he's not even a top 5. This is sad
The way SAS discredits Kobe being in the conversation is crazy. He has 5 rings. I remember as a kid whenever someone shot a fadeaway they’d say “Kobe”. No hate to Lebron but he’s 3rd on my list.

Shaq has been consistent with his view on Kobe being in the MVP conversation for years. And I respect the opinion of players/ex-players who were his teammates or opponents more than some sports media talking head.
Kobe, West, Magic, Wilt, Duncan, Bird, all these guys should be in the goat conversation, not just MJ and Bron

How?? Kobe isn’t better than Jordan, Bron, Kareem or Magic that’s just facts..Kobe the only player y’all can say deserves to be in the goat conversation but will never say he’s the goat..Tell me htf does that even work lol
I’m One that feels that Lebron should NOT be in the GOAT Debate..Esp when Considering him Diminishes the Legacy of Others. Lebron is an All Time Great but Not Greater than MJ, Kareem, Magic, Kobe or Steph. To put Lebron Ahead of Any of them is Disrespectful.
there was also one Laker who was able to block Sky Hook and did few times, Wilt Chamberlain
But they never say Jordan had Pippen...or the first 5 years of Jordan couldn't make it to the playoffs until they got Phil Jackson
And LeBron had way more help😂
Nicca pippen ain’t no top 10 player of all time y’all Kobe fans be reaching like Fck embarrassing 😂
Lebron had more help than MJ... Wade is a better player than Pippen... Wade won a chip as the best player on Heat long before LeBron got there to form his superteam.
As for Kobe I love Kobe but he ain't MJ
If you're going to comment on a topic that you clearly don't know about, at least do some research first. Jordan never missed the playoffs
as a member of the Bulls. And the Bulls were already playing in the Eastern conference Finals the year before Phil Jackson took over as head
coach. Phil helped Jordan get past the Pistons and helped him to win titles. But Jordan had the Bulls on the precipice of greatness before Phil
took over as head coach. And even if your statement was true, that argument doesn't even make sense. Because Jordan was the one with the
decorated basketball resume from college to the NBA. By the time Phil arrived, the only thing left for Jordan to win as a basketball player was a
title and a finals MVP. Jordan had quite literally accomplished everything else. Phil on the other hand, built his legacy coaching MJ. Just as Scottie
Pippen built his legacy playing with Jordan. Before Jordan, neither Phil nor Pippen had a basketball resume to speak of. With Jordan, Pippen
became a top 75 all time player. Without Jordan, the casual fan wouldn't know who Pippen was. Without Pippen, Jordan is still a top 75 all time
player, but with possibly fewer rings.
It's all about the narratives. And if you repeat a narrative enough times it becomes reality in peoples mind...Kobe the Goat.
Kobe is the most skilled basketball player to ever play.
He may not be the most accomplished, the strongest, the fastest, etc.. but because of his mastery of the sport yes he is in the GOAT debate.
When ranked by NBA players, they ranked Kobe firmly in 3th spot. There's a reason as why he's that high and it's because of his attributes.
Skip To My Lou had more skill
He was second fiddle to shaq... so no.
"Most skilled" is definitely a reach.. And I love Kobe
U can’t have 2 fmvps out of 5 chips and have only 1 mvp and think your in the goat debate not over Duncan in my opinion
Jordan was more skilled than Kobe in every area inside the three point line.
Moments and impact! Of course stats are important…but it’s memorable moments and the impact they had while playing that should be considered to be in the goat conversation. Bron may very well break every single stat record out… but he doesn’t have enough memorable moments that either Mike or Kobe had. It’s Mike all day every day, then Kobe, then Bron…
Stephen A says Kobe had Shaq like LeBron didn't build a team he said would win "not 1, not 2, not 3, not 4, not 5, not 6, not 7"... Y'all hate when we hold LeBron to his words, that shows me what type of people y'all are in life. For him to only get TWO and they couldn't stay together has to be a TREMENDOUS FAIL!
He said Shaq and Kobe couldn't stay together and yet LeBron and Kyrie couldn't stay together... LeBron and AD bout to split now with BARELY a ring!
NO MATTER WHAT YOU SAY, 5 WITH ONE TEAM AND THREE WITH SHAQ AND TWO BACK TO BACK IS BETTER THAN 4 WITH DIFFERENT TEAMS AND ALL STAR TEAMS! You can have all the stats in the world BUT YOU DON'T HAVE IT WHERE IT MATTERS! 5-2 IS BETTER THAN 4-6! PERIOD!
I love the fact that Shaq is showing Kobe love. Like, anyone that watched that Lakers era knew about the beef that went on, so Shaq and Kobe patching things up later on and Shaq continuing the love is sadly wholesome.
I’m sick of people disrespecting Kobe like he wasn’t a dog on the court 😈
Nobody said he wasn’t just not the best to the play the game of basketball
Kobe stayed on the same team through good times and bad times
I have Kobe #2 on my list.

Kobe is also 1 of only 6 players to win back-to-back Finals MVP (2peat). Kobe did this in one of the most competitive conference in history.
He was also the 1A/1B option on the most recent 3peat team (only five 3peats in NBA history).
4th in scoring all time, 16th in steals, 33rd in assists, 115th in rebounds.
Lead the 2000's with the most points scored in the decade and the highest scoring average of the decade.
Lead the decade in all-star selections, all-nba selections, all-nba defensive selections.
Made 6 finals, won 4.
He also had 10 50 point games in the 2006-2007 season alone. He also scored 60-50-65-50 in consecutive games.
In 2003 he scored 40+ in 9 straight games. Outscored the Dallas Mavericks 62-61 by himself after 3 quarters, sat the 4th; he was easily on his way to 80 that game. Didn't matter, he hit 80 soon after.
He did all that and scored 35.1ppg on a team that only averaged 96ppg a game as a team and he did so in the slowest paced era and lowest scoring era in league history.
Furthermore, he famously played through injuries to his own detriment which meant many of his scoring feats were done while injured. He won an NBA title and won FMVP with a broken finger taped to the opposing finger on his shooting hand. He also took on the opposing teams best player as often as he could on defense which is probably why many people think he wasn't as good defensively as he actually was.
Simply the greatest difficult shot taker and maker in NBA history which makes the fact that virtually every year of his prime he shot above league average even more remarkable.
He would have rewritten the modern scoring record books if he had the freedom on offense current players enjoy.
To be honest, NOBODY deserves to be in the G.O.A.T debate... Jordan is already cemented

I will never understand why being 2nd best shooting guard ever discredits him from the goat conversation. The goat conversation isn't consisted of the best from each position.. it should be position-less.
Shaq and Kobe both won rings with and without each other. They're both two GREATS!!
He’s the only player that was closest to MJ, but he’s not considered in the debate?
Style wise maybe. But Jordan was never a sidekick
mike was never a sidekick
Kobe was Diet MJ. It’s not the same
It makes no sense, how they debate this.
Closest in terms of play style, but he was not close as a player. I can’t believe I’m explaining this.
SAS needs to stop mentioning bean
On Kobe's list it said 2 olympic gold right? 2008 and 2012, Kobe is undefeated in world competition. Lebron has a 2004 olympic bronze medal, and a 2006 world games bronze medal. Kobe is the reason for Lebron winning any true world basketball gold. Without Kobe he Lebron has never won a gold medal. That puts Kobe in front of Lebron in the goat convo. How can you be the best ever, when you never led your country to gold as the dominant leader?
Stephen A Smith: "i pride myself on being fair".
Also Stephen A Smith: "I can't deny 3 of kobes rings were with Shaq", 5 seconds later: "If Kobe was a better team mate and stayed with shaq maybe they have 8 rings".
Kobe knew what people were saying about his rings so wanted to part ways and show the world he can win on his own
This Goat stuff is getting tiresome...
Kobe should be in conversation
Props for SA for speaking facts, statistics and the truth first before following the narrative and worrying about what other sensitive people feel. Kobe dying was a tragedy but being nice to someone does not change facts.
Mj and Kobe are the two greatest players of all of time I stand on that
This obsession this community has over who the best basketball player is. They seem to have this conversation once per week.
It’s an American thing and honestly it’s pathetic
@@tbd3058 **black American thing
Bill Russell is BY FAR the best NBA player in history. He was great and won 11 NBA Finals, the most NBA Finals wins for any player in NBA history, he’s VASTLY underrated.
How many mvp he won in the process?
He played against plumbers
He played in a league with like 12 teams. Rules were in his favor and there was no 3 point line. Russell also played with like 9 other HOF players
Kareem has more of an argument
Barely competitive back then.
I have Kobe before Lebron in the GOAT convo, i have MJ #1
So Kobe had Shaq and Gasol. Lebron had D.Wade, Chris Bosh, Ray Allen, Kyrie Irving Kevin love Anthony Davis all all-stars two hall of famers maybe 3 more to come. But that's not where it ends. MJ had Scottie and Rodman two of the best defenders ever both lock down one the best rebounder maybe ever both hall of famers. Mike wasn't getting out of the first round without scottie he was getting swept. Also had Tony and Horace grant both All-stars and fun fact Steve Kerr (who he fought nobody talk about that) who is the all time leader is 3pt %. So now let's ask the question who had the most/least help?
