I drove this car on my trip back to Italy and it was honestly a dream come true, me and my dad went to the museum in Maranello and I got the surprise of driving it thru the tight twisty roads and it the most amazing insane experience of my life, when I got in for the first time I cried my eyes out and when floored it on the straights it was like nothing I could’ve ever imagined, that car is an absolute monster, it’s an experience you can’t describe till you drive it...as an Italian this was the best day of my life and now all I can think about is wanting to buy it and drive it every day, I get emotional just typing about it☺️❤️
I think driving a Ferrari in Maranello is the holy pilgrimage for car people hahaha great story thanks for sharing

I love that museum! Was in Italy on business in ‘14 and had some time to kill so me and a buddy made the trek down there. I remember getting out of the rental car in the parking lot and being instantly greeted by the sounds of Ferraris ripping around the on-site test track. What a glorious sound!
And to anyone curious, at the museum they have cars you can rent for the day and go bombing around in. They even had a new Lambo at the time as well that was for rent. You can also buy a few laps around the test track in various models too.
We pondered spoiling ourselves, but didn’t have deep enough pockets lol.
The passenger door handle is probably to give them something to hold onto. The driver doesn't need it because they have the steering wheel

I just drove the Pista at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway through Dream Racing. It was truly an unbelievable experience. The speed and handling exceeded my expectations, which is saying a lot since I had such high expectations to begin with. The fun factor was also off the charts. I can relate to Doug’s smiles while driving it.

The reason the passenger door pull is different is because it gives the passenger an "oh shit handle" that the driver doesnt need because the driver's holding onto the steering wheel.

I’ve noticed a trend in modern Ferraris: They make a new model and the next model after that is a mild redesign of the first. The F430 looks like a facelifted 360 and the 488 looks like a facelifted 458.

loopje F8 Tributo is the new version of 488 GTB, you can say its a successor to the 488. When you look at them they look pretty similar but F8 is more aggresive.

If you look carefully, the tachometer is in units of RPM x 1000, so that means between 7,000 and 8,000 RPM is 7,500,000 RPM, and it apparently revs past 9,500,000 RPM. Impressive.

Not only is alcantara a bit ugly, it's VERY cheap and wears incredibly fast. There's a reason why those absurdly cheap Indian cars are covered in alcantara...

The reason for a proper door pull on the passenger side is probably so that the passenger can hold onto it at high speeds. However the driver won't need it as both his hands are supposed to be on the steering wheel.

Dont start a car and instantly rev it. EVER even if its warm wait 30 sec. also it sounds better if you hover the RPM around 2k or 3k then tap the throttle. Not reving it from idle thanks

Doug it would be great if you explored some new camera angle while driving the cars. A suction mounted camera on the window or sunroof of a car would allow us to see the dash and the rest of the car while driving. We are looking at a close up of you face the ENTIRE TIME.
It's like two minutes. He tells you what it feels like. That feeling doesn't transfer well trough a camera. All you can see is a boring suburbia.
Ive been telling him this since forever. Its for this reason I stopped watching doug. It just feels like he is too cheap to buy a second camera and make the viewing more pleasurable.
