Top tips for your cruise: Book everything in advance before you get on board - it's A LOT cheaper! Get your drinks packages, excursions etc all before you go. Otherwise it will cost you an arm and a leg!

Great review, thank you. My wife and i will be on the same cruise in March, never really planned any tours just shuttle buses but Bruges is beautiful, we had a few days there a number of years ago, climbed the watch tower had the Waffles and Flemish Stew, i think we might take a trip back there this time for the beer and stew. Very respectful comments about Normandy, i am old enough to know people who were there, or rather have known sadly they are no longer around, one very good friend of mine had brothers landing on the beaches, he was in the Royal Navy doing other things but despite being miles away could hear the shelling of the beaches. That was a memory he shared knowing his own brothers were heading into that carnage. Sorry if i sound morbid but we should never forget, and as you pointed out the number who died were more than the population of GB at that time. Give the Med a try, in summer, but check out school holidays, some European Countries are different to UK so you might have lots of young Families on board. Maybe your honeymoon, the World Europa is there in June which we are booked on, all the best. Kevin
