    Another amazing video. Easily the best source of the history of Golarion on CZcams. I eagerly await each installment!

    This stuff is great! I can't want to start up my new campaign and force my players to watch all of these so they have an appreciation of Golarion!

    Ah, good old humans, incredibly boring yet optimally one of the best races to play because of their free Feat. Great job on the various regions, it was very informative!

    Hey everyone, Narrator speaking, the new episode was delayed for a few reasons, our research team had to deal with exams and changes at work but the ball finally got rolling recently. audio is recorded and I intend to start and hopefully finish the video itself tomorrow. so if all goes well the new episode will be up before next week.

      Good catch! I didn't notice the ears on the editing. However, I'm pretty sure that's a Mwangi Half-Elf since the jungle elves (Ekujae) that live in the Mwangi Expanse don't have that skin tone. So it still kinda fits the overall video theme!

    Awesome Video! That being said said I always found it hard to swallow that Humans could still end up as the dominant Species on a Fantasy World where there are DOZENS if not HUNDREDS of other species that are usually around the same intelligence but have unique advantages over humans. Beastmen like Rabbitmen would have far more children and overwhelm humans with sheer numbers, dwarves would most likely have achieved the Industrial Revolution centuries before humans and slaughtered the other races with runeforged Tanks and machine guns and Elves with their incredible Magic and 1000 year lifespans would probably evolve the first Civilization and subjugate or kill all other competitors while those still live in the Stone Age. All those races are almost ALWAYS given the handicap of not having many children, having no „Ambition“ like humans(really?) or they are destroyed in some ancient catastrophe that CONVIENTLY will not happen to human civilization.
    The light novel series „Overlord“ is a satisfying subversion of this trope where humans are confined to a small 2 million square km corner of 1 Continent where there are about 40-50 million humans in 5 Nations while the rest of the World is populated by several billion Demihumans and Monsters of hundreds of Nations. While some races are clearly dumber than Humans(Goblins, Troglodytes, Goblins, Hill Giants etc.), others are just as intelligent while being FAR stronger and far more numerous and being way more magically gifted. The only reason Mankind is still alive in this World is because Level 100 Human Players whose strength is akin to Gods were transported to this World from a D&D-like Virtual Reality MMORPG and protected the surviving humans in this part of the World long enough to advance to „Medieval Level“ and found some Nations so that they would not go extinct after the Human Players died of Old Age.

      We already had 2 episodes that talked about varisia and it's people and wanted to avoid simply recycling the same info. Cities of varisia should have any info you might need.

    I thought the Talaxians were supposed to be just white people, until I realized they were meant to be British, or the whiter version of white people.

    • @VentureCaptains
      @VentureCaptains  Před 6 lety +5

      they are basically the British. it's why I said, "hmm, sounds oddly familiar". there's a lot of groups in Pathfinder than upon closer inspection are just fantasy versions of real cultures.

      Talaxians? Do you mean Chelaxians or Taldans? Or is Talaxian supposed to be a portmanteau?
