Im sorry for your all's loss. Those wounds may never go away, but the people we lose are never truly gone until we've forgotten them. So with this video you've cemented their memory forever.
Unexpectedly burst into tears at the end of this. That was a very sweet eulogy.
Same
It was a beautiful eulogy
RIP Dylan, Hail Asmodeus!
I'm sorry for the loss of your friend. He sounds like a wonderful person.
2:21 asmodeus’ brother felt the point though…
I'm truly truly sorry for your loss. No one should have to go like that. I hope he's happy wherever he is
One thing to keep in mind about Asmodeus' account of his own history, as presented in the Book of the Damned, is that he is the Prince of Lies. There's a tension between his account of events, and assertions in the main text of Inner Sea Gods and other sources that he dissented from an already established heaven. He presents it as though his ideas were universally accepted and Ihys was the troublemaker who give mortals free will and invited qlippoth into the planes, but it's entirely likely that he instead wanted to take free will away from mortalkind, especially since we know free will to have been a compromise between all of the gods.
"The devil nuns" interesting lol
Loved the beautiful tribute to your friend Aaron at the end. May any of us be so lucky as to be perceived at the end of our lives as he was by you.
Fun fact: Every time a group of worshippers gathers to chant Asmodeus's name, there's always gonna be one that will try to get the chant to sound like the chorus for Falco's 'Amadeus'. This attempt will always be successful.
That was a wonderful epitaph and a wonderful episode. Thank you for your work and may your friend live on forever in your hearts and in your games.
Came for Asmodeus... Stayed to hear about your friend. I’m sorry to hear for your loss.
Thank you.
Oh gods I did not expect one of these episodes to make me cry; I'm so sorry for your loss
Thank you, it's been some time for us but we never forgot him. This episode is to make sure we never will.
Lawful evil is some of the best kinds of Villainous archetypes.
I also liked what you said, the irony of the topic means it will linger long after their passing. And that is a worthy and good thing.
Sorry for your loss, and thank you for providing me with some ammunition to explain to the Pathfinder facebook group I'm part of that Asmodeus isn't just a generic evil god, but so much more.
Thanks, King.
The eulogy was unexpected but very touching. It's the anniversary of my best friend next week so I feel you.
Hope all's well and lots of love.
Sorry to hear about the loss of your friend.
I watch a lot of lore videos, even for games I don't even play. Just barely started getting into Pathfinder a couple weeks ago and I have to say, you have the best lore videos on all of CZcams. Love your content.
Keep these videos coming! They are fantastic. And I'm so sorry for your lost...
What a great job.... amazing video ive been with pathfinder since the beginning amd im glad to see you begin this
I know it’s 4 years later, but this is my first time on your channel. I’m sorry for your loss.
Your eulogy hit home. Beautifully spoken.
Sorry for your guys' loss; shit brought a tear to my eye. Keep up the videos, I just marathoned them all and I'd love to see more.
Well, they're coming! Slowly but consistently.
The story of Cheliax after the death of Abodar and the rise of House of Thrune is interesting. And followed by the desire of Iomedea to return goodness to Cheliax
We recently released that video!
@@VentureCaptains yes, I saw. Thank you. :)
Lets hope Erin is happy in Mount Celestia
I know how little this means, but I’m truly sorry for your loss.
it is appreciated. we debated a lot about whether it was right to put that epitaph at the end of the video for him. we wanted to honour his memory but were worried that people would think we were trying to exploit a tragedy if we handled this poorly. I feel a lot better knowing that people understood our intent.
First time seeing one of your videos. Easy subscribe.
Staying in the Hell theme, how about Charon, The Horseman of Death ?
Good words about your friend btw, my group's comfort for your's grief.
Hi, just found your videos today. Very well produced and written. I have recommended different ones to the players of the 4 different AP's (2xcurse of the crimson throne, war for the crown, and rise of the Runelords) I have on the go. I love that you are able to give interesting and useful information that provides context with out spoiling the AP's plot. It's also easier to get my players to watch a video rather than the books. Would also be interested the underdark as there are often possible entrances the Aps the players can explore as side quests.
Oh and a shared a link in the GCP discord server so you might get a bump traffic. Super passionate group of pathfinder fans.

It's funny that Asmodeus is a polar of Law and oaths when he is one of the biggest oath breakers in any plane. Tricking and lying to your brother so you can murder him is a puely chaotic and anti lawful act.
It depends on the words used (if they used words at all). Something like "I don´t want to fight you, let´s hold hands" is exactly true, since Asmodeus didn´t want to fight but to win without fighting at all, with a single stroke.
Another fantastic video! I wish you would do a podcast or something.
10:00 damn they really added Anton LaVey
Wish there was more like you making these. As an GM i enjoy your vids very much.
There may just be one of us, but given some time there's gonna be a lot of videos!
dope, new video
''Asmodeus is known for his unbreakable word'' *Betrays his own brother with a fake gesture of peace and stabs him*
"My word is law, but the law against this hasn't been written yet."
@@VentureCaptains *Speaks* ''Come brother let us end this battle'' *takes hand* ''finally we can put this behi-'' *TF2 critical hit sound effect.wav*

Until Valhalla... for your friend and for us all... skal!!!
I clicked on this thinking it was metal song.
❤️
Would love to see Calistria! I'm thinking about playing a Calistrian Cleric, and focusing on the revenge aspect, but I don't really know much about her.
Awesome choice. One of our players is a Calistria Warpriest and it's quite fun. Next video is gonna be Rovagug, but we will get around to this woman sooner or later. I recommend you check out Inner Sea Gods for now.
Inner sea gods is actually what I'm using as my current primary source haha! Great book, my DM and I love that inner sea gods. But there's something nice about a long video I can absorb while I'm working or driving!
Yeah, It's our favorite book! Theres not a ton about calistria outside of it. 90% of the lore is coming from it. Though "Shadow in the Sky" from Second Darkness AP has great description of her temple.
oh, that's cool! I've never read much of the APs since I am not our group's main GM and tend to just run one shots between campaigns. Good to know that I'm getting most lore from Inner Sea Gods though! I wasn't sure if it was just the tip of the iceberg, or pretty comprehensive, so thanks, you rock! :D
I am sorry for your loss.
On the note of the request though, I would like to hear about Rovagug.
Also, have you guys considered expanding some of this to include Starfinder lore? It is the same setting, but a different time, so it is interesting to see how things develop.
Snacker6 Gladly!:
Rovagug the rough beast is the god of Wrath, Disaster and Destruction. His only goal is to destroy the entirety of creation, and this is the reason that the other gods battled him in the time before the creation of golarion.
In fact, the reason golarion was created was specifically to imprison rovagug, who is sealed in a demiplane known as the dead vault, located in the planet's core. If you look at our logo, it's a rune that represents golarion, and it's called "The Cage" for this reason.
From his imprisonment, Rovagug has been steadily gnawing at the bonds that bind him. The integrity of his cage is compromised already, thanks to the events of the pit of gormuz and the decline of the star towers. Now, he can once again grant magic to those who worship him, and the fate of golarion hangs on how long can the bonds contain him.
As for starfinder, we have thought about it, but in reality there is not that much lore to cover at the moment, the game is still new. Furthermore our release schedule is long as it is, and a starfinder parallel series would likely not be possible. But we do hope that we will manage to do some episodes on it some day.
A curious thing that ties both your questions however, if golarion disappeared, what has become of Rovagug? Is he free? And seeing that the universe is still intact, wouldn't that mean that golarion is still holding on somewhere?
Rovagug is in our sights because he is central to explaining the mythology of the setting. May not be the next video, but likely the one after.
I wonder what happened to Asmodeus in Starfinder time? He's no longer one of the core 20 in that time period.
I would like videos about all the gods and goddesses of the pantheon please :3
Leekit I think he's been going through them all.
We've kind of got a, wherever the wind takes us approach to choosing topics but gods are so popular and so central to this setting that we keep coming back to them. sooner or later we are going to cover the rest of the pantheon.
Heya! i have indeed a question:
How can Asmodeus have fallen paladins in his ranks? arent they anti-paladins? I ask bcs anti-paladins are chaotic evil - what asmodeus despises a lot.
could you do a lore finder on the Belkzen Hold please
we've got a lot of topics in the tank to get through and this is certainly something we've talked about, can't say when we'll do it, however. in the meantime, there's a very good channel that uses a similar format to our own that did cover stuff related to the orcs and I think that hold. here's a link if you're interested.

@@VentureCaptains Thanks for the plug my man :)
Not many videos but awesome content. I'll think of something to request but you're probably steady.
We have several ideas in mind but we don't plan the episodes out very far in advance. Any requests are welcome and appreciated, we want to make videos that we know people want to see.
I've been curious about that big jungle continent South of the inner sea. The area that seems to be ruled by a gorilla from what I noticed flipping through the world guide.
Also, sorry to hear about your friend. I commented before the video ended. I recommend making an NPC inspired by him.
The Mwangi Expanse is a very interesting region! Unfortunately it doesn't get explored much in the main adventures. We can certainly cover this one if there's some demand.
@Cody Miller. Well, as his GM, I now have to NPC his characters until I can write them out. It's pretty uncomfortable, but they deserve a proper sendoff. (Am not killing them, though)
Sorry to hear about your friend my dude.
Can we get a lore video on the God’s featured in Pathfinder kingmaker? Groteous(?) and Shelyn
We appreciate the kind words. Unfortunately we ended the series not too long ago with the barbarian episode. It's very unlikely that we'll be putting out any new lore videos.
why does this channel only has 3.4k subs only?!
Inconsistent uploads, niche topic, lack of branding and social media presence. Any number of reasons really. Honestly I'm pretty happy that more people will watch this show, than go to any given event in my small town so I can't complain. no where to go but up.
Hmmm... 11:04 this sounds an awful lot like something... I wonder what it is...
Why is the shifter class a 10?
Why is the shifter class so evil? XD I haven't read about it much, but obviously you have some strong feelings about it
It promised a lot and what we got was such huge disappointment that it caused mass rage and sadness across the universe.
Short answer: It's under powered and kind of boring.
It's such a trap option that rogues get a free perception check whenever they come within 10 ft of one.
This video made me think that under a certain light fantasy evil can be quite attractive. Does anyone know of a video that presents demonic values and demonic destruction in a different way?
It would be very interesting to roleplay CE foes that have well-rooted motives and values (other than seeking power, of course).
Something like "the universe is imperfect and corrupted, therefore such creation has to be destroyed in order to build again" is the only thing that pops in my mind.
Vergil from devil may cry comes to mind. He's deeply traumatized by his mother's death. Both because of how as human she couldn't defend herself from demons and he wasn't strong enough to do anything about it either. His entire motivation through the series is the accumulation of power for it's own sake and the shedding of his own humanity, regardless of the consequences. Because without power, you can't hold onto anything you care about.
That's Tharizdun's motivation in D&D.
Got anything on dark elf🎉
Here I was thinking it was pronounced "az-MO-dee-us"
I wasn't sure myself at first, deus is a Latin word meaning deity, hence terms like Deus ex machina (God from the machine) and more relevent to my own experience, the Deus ex games. I used how that is pronounced as a guideline.
@@VentureCaptains it is Asmodaddy to my group
so betraying his brother under the pretense of a lie is considered lawful evil? seems he broke his own rules there.

DnD's Asmodeus is far more interesting than Pathfinder's, and also the plot around him is much less contradictory.
Ray: I'm personally not that familiar with D&D's version so I can't comment on that. I like the pathfinder version for not being a by the numbers Satan equivalent but his backstory is a bit of a mess.
Fucking "f"
Sounds like Christianity
