    Petchaburi has twice told us when reporting to their faciity after quick trips out of Thailand that if returning to same addresss (we have 1 yr Lease) NO TM30 required again. so now we dont have TM30s stamped from date of last entry. This bait and switch Thai moneygrab has to end. Interestingly, recent online 90day report Approved despite this.

  • @robertkimmins4004

    Doesn't make sense. I haven't updated a TM30 for four years, which includes 4 visits abroad. I was told by immigration that there was no need to update if I was returning to the same address as previously (always) stated. Four extensions made in that time with no issues.

    We report to local police station as its a 2 hour trip to immigration at Khon Kaen. If they expect me to report within 24 hours of arriving when I have had a long 20 hour trip into Thailand and then upcountry and I am somewhat jet lagged and needing sleep they can go and jump. So yes, unreasonable comes to mind and giving people 3 days to report would be kind and fair.

      I can give an update on this. The Thai TM30 reporting website has been updated and now we are able to use it. This would be less of an issue if the online TM30 system produced a PDF receipt that you could print out and put in your passport. My landlord insists that the system does not provide this and he therefore had to go in person and waste a day of his life. If someone knows how to get a physical receipt from an online TM30 submission please post the details.

    • @RM-vm5eb

      @@enterthenuttmeister You would think they would email a PDF receipt upon acceptance, equivalent to what you get in person, similar to what you get with an online 90 day report acceptance, that you could then print and put in your passport. I was hoping this new system they just launched would do that. I struggle to understand why they would demand a document in your passport that they do not provide.

    Hello Ben, I heard this video hours before re entering Thailand via air. Processing thru the immigration portal at the airport the immigration officer would not stamp a current date on my TM 30 which was stapled in my passport. Is this new rule only in the Chonbury area or nationwide?

  • @stevens818
    @stevens818 Před 9 měsíci

    This makes no sense if you’re returning to the same address initially reported and you either own it or have a lease.
    My lease is 2 years and was told told she’ll do the TM30 when I move in, which she did, but after that it’s on me.
    I’m out of country so when I return I guess I’ll need to run up to CM immigration with 24 hours to check.
    Makes me wonder though, once I do my 90 day next time, and the next etc, and the address remains the same as the initial TM30, will they really notice it? If they give us a multiple entry stamp, then they know we’re all leaving and coming back.

  • @Spock105
    @Spock105 Před 9 měsíci

    ? Does this mean that when I go to Thailand on a 60 day visa , and later want to extend that with another 30 days , that when I arrive on day 1 at the airport , I need a TM30 immediate ?

  • @Ulbre
    @Ulbre Před 9 měsíci +1

    I really don't have a problem with immigration, but the whole TM30 thing is really total BS. It has, in fact, nothing to do with the forefinger whose name is on the form. It is a form that has to be submitted by anyone hosting a foreigner overnight. The reality is that the homeowner/property owner must submit this form and nowhere does it state that the TM30 receipt should be given to the foreigner who appears on the form.
    I can't see why immigration across all of Thailand doesn't seem to understand this.
    The form that foreigners should be filling out is the TM28. So in a way glad that they have pushed the TM30 onto us rather than the property owners because the TM28, if administered, would be an even greater nightmare.
    Over the last 17 years of living here fulltime and during the almost 40 years (will be come January 8th) of coming here, immigration has always been a breeze, even if sometimes a lengthy breeze :) :) :)

    So when did this new rule start? I’ve gone on trips out of Thailand many times, I have a retirement Non O visa and didn’t need a TM30, I came back to Thailand last month, how were we supposed to know about this new rule! Why on earth can’t you get a TM30 at the airport on re-entering Thailand! Or a least be told that you have to have one within 24 hours? If your returning to your same address, I can’t see the reason for a TM30?
