The third Empyrean book better not come out this year. She only started writing it late last year, and less than a year to write a manuscript, properly edit it, get the cover done and have it printed and shipped just isn't possible, unless they severely decrease the publishing schedule. And you just know every book subscription on the planet, and the major bookstores, will want to do a special edition, so time needs to be allowed for that too. If that book comes out this year, I'll read it, but I'll be extremely judgemental in terms of its quality.

Yup it seemed pretty optimistic to release in November, I'm surprised (but also not) that Goodreads has changed it completely. Publishing behind the scenes is like NOPE.

@@becklebooks I actually wouldn't be surprised if the publisher planned for a 2024 release. But someone along the way (hopefully the editor) probably won the fight and said no.
