usually I fall asleep before I can make out any of what you say but when I happen to be awake you always kill me with your random stories 🤣
If you completely unscrew the top from the bottle - hold the base with a towel (the base up at the top under the part that screws on the bottle - use a towel for a good grip since it’ll have product on it) and then try turning the spout! I was able to fix a few this way

Hi Mary! This happens to me all the time. Something that has worked for me is removing the pump from the bottle completely, rinsing it and drying it, and then holding the lower neck of the pump with one hand and twisting the top. It should unlock for you!

if my caps don't pop off within the first few minutes, I go return the item and stand in the aisle turning each cap until the first one pops up and then I buy it 😂😂😂

My aunt has worked in retail almost her whole life so when people have this problem she always tells them that it is most likely because somebody popped it up and then jammed it back down. It works best when you pull up while twisting in this situation. If it still doesn’t work then you should probably talk to the store and ask for a replacement. The store she currently works for tries to get it to pop up. If it doesn’t then they happily refund the customer or let them exchange the bottle. If yours doesn’t then, I don’t know, darn the bad luck I guess. I hope this was helpful. I forgot to mention if pulling up while twisting doesn’t work sometimes you have to kinda push into an angle while twisting.

This happens to me all the time! Squeeze the body of the bottle with one hand while turning to apply pressure and it’ll pop up then.

I have this problem with pumps about half the time too! My husband can get them to pop up immediately. I never understand what I'm doing wrong! I'm glad to know it's not just me 😆
I used to work at ulta and people would bring in "defective" pumps all the time 😂 then hand them over and they'd pop up immediately hahaha. I find that sometimes it helps to unscrew the pump and take it out, then put it back on and try again!
Yes many times I’ve bought soap and it wouldn’t pop up! So frustrating! You are not the only one lol:)

I have trouble with pumps too- they are touchy. Try unscrewing the top and taking it off- them put it back on- then try to pop it by turning the spout.
I had the same problem awhile back with a pump bottle for my shampoo. I searched on CZcams how to fix it. If you look up a video called “easiest way to open a lotion pump” I think that’s the title it’s a 46 second video showing how you to open it ! Hopefully it helps. It worked for my soap bottle.

I work as a grocery clerk on the west coast...yes we get frustrated with people but at some point you gotta get a grasp and get your patience back or find another job cuz when your dealing with the public it takes alot of patience and compassion. Your energy is not the only 2nd wind you need to regain. Otherwise if not you will hate your job and go crazy!!

Those pumps get stuck sometimes...where I work we’ve had people come back in to exchange them of course not without having a few people try first lol
Sometimes, if you turn the pump the wrong way, and then back the other way, it will loosen it. I hate when it isn’t a satisfying experience tho 😂

Oh I’ve had SEVERAL encounters with pump shampoo/ conditioner/ body wash/ even face washes where I can’t get the pump to pop up. I had a similar situation except it was my mom who got it and I was just so shocked yet irritated at the same time 🤣lol

Your story about the shampoo pump made me laugh very loud! Hilarious! And oh so recognisable! I have the same every now and than. It makes me feel stupid.... especially when anyone else opens it up so easily. Is it an age thing? 😄😉

The pump bottle thing has happened to me many times. I feel your frustration.
If you take the lid off the bottle and twist the bit underneath the bottle where the little straw is it should pop up. Hope that helps xx
Remember, you are the paying customer. It's her job to help you and to be nice, you are the reason she has a job...I would not put up with that attitude from her. I worked in retail for many years and was always told the customer is right. Customer service has gone down hill
You’re not alone on the shampoo bottles and not being able to get it to pop up. I’ve also had that issue.
I’m having the same issue with my charcoal body wash . The pump won’t pop up . So I have been unscrewing the top and pouring some out when I need it .
I loathe the pump tops. Same prob you described . I often wonder if the tops don’t ship well and get damaged

Yes, all the time. It's why I usually never buy shampoo and conditioner with a pump. I just have to open them up completely to use them anyway, so for me there is no point. 😞

HAHAHA I'm miles and miles awy from you in Australia and guess what ?? The EXACT same thing happens to me with some of my pop up shampoo bottles, I tend to buy the same brand so I've taken to swapping the old pump Lid onto the new bottle, I have no idea why but it just wont pop!!!
