Absolutely "in tune" with the owner. It's the rock hard stance or the solid head up chest out marching, or maybe the love behind those intense eyes. I don't know what I admire more.
The Rott really deserves it....its like he knows the camera is on him, like a child always on his best behaviour. His focus generally and unflinching focus on the handler is amazing!!

I have 3... I've owned several different breeds and mixes in the past. the rottweiler is by far the best dog I've ever owned. I'll never have another type of dog.

The Dobbie came in 2nd right? Love the Dob!!! Sleek and fit. I highly like the Rotti, but bcuz Dobs are the more agile a nd athletic between the 2 (at least by look), I tend to lean towards the Dob. I know Rots can be more powerful, but it ain't just about their bite. Dobs also have that look, esp after ears are cropped and tails docked (still look rather mean with tails).

I've always wondered how they could judge between different breeds. I get it within certain breeds because there are standards, but I can't understand how between so many different dogs.
valednr it's supposed to be judged on which which dog fits their breed standard the best sometimes judges will just place dogs which they liked most.

They study breed standards in detail before they get their judging license, the one which most closely matches its breed standard is the winner. Look at the AKC website for breed standards, it requires a LOT of study and a very good memory to learn even one group.
When half the breeds out there purposefully run away from their owners (not much loyalty) and are difficult to train, Rottweilers should automatically be winning these shows by the 50% margin alone. My Rottweiler only had to be shown 2 or 3 times what I expected of him and that was it. Other breeds? Good luck!!

Great video and all, but I feel a bit bad for the dogs.. Those collars have to hurt, especially when the owners pull them (which I saw happen multiple times during this video)

The small dogs have delicate necks. The working breed dogs are all very powerful. They are well trained and are not pulling on their leashes. These dogs are not being hurt or injured by these collars.
It’s not possible to hurt the dogs with those collars. They are loose most of the time and only tighten when a correction is applied or when they stack. When the dog moves too far away from the handler it tightens and they come back. This is for more control than your regular collars which only encourage the dog to pull more as it sits on the lower neck where there is the pull area. I train with these collars and the dog learns to respect pressure.
No it doesn't hurt them at all, these collars are made to NOT hurt.

In the hands of a handler who knows what they are doing, where to place them and how to hold them, No.The position of the chain at a show is “High and tight”, This is to prevent any damage to the dogs trachea and neck, and to allow the dog to breath without restriction.
If you knew what you were talking about you would understand, but you don’t. You’re one of those people who would let the chain hang down low and crush the trachea by trying to use your mass against the dog's mass.Try educating yourself before opening your mouth (or using your fingers) to express your ignorance.
@@paris283 that depends entirely on how well the dog is trained and how good the handler is. I noticed most handlers had their dogs "strung up" but they should run on a LOOSE lead.
@Wolfy They're NOT "choke chains" unless the handler is so incredibly stupid they put them on back to front; they are "check chains" and are used to give the dog a quick check and remind it where it should be relative to the handler, then slacken off. Don't presume to judge things you clearly don't know about.
