Here I am as a backup singer in 1986 - with Prakash John and the Lincolns - one of the best, most memorable gigs I've ever done. The band - consisting of Prakash John on bass, Steve Ambrose, lead vocals, Michael Fonfara on keys, Asher Horowitz on guitar, Earl Seymour, Vern Dorge and Steve Mcdade, horn section - with Joanne Perica and David Blamires on backups - is one of the best in Toronto's rich music history.

Loved this band, saw them many times both in T.O. and Edmonton. First saw Prakash with George Oliver and Soulchildren in '69.

I was fortunate enough to be a co-producer on this magical production, my 1/2 second of fame 😂 Two days of the usual hiccups but what an outcome. You were all brilliant! ❤

@@bumblerock4048 ? drummer, but whoever they had was always excellent I believe steve hoy from Edmonton had the gig for a while and he was a particular fave . earl Seymour (RIP) was from Edmonton, too .Prakash son Jordan, would have been the best they ever had , but he may not even have been born yet. if you don't know his work look him up

The Lincolns band leader Prakash John is the same man that you can see playin' bass with Lou Reed on the live albums Live & Rock & Roll.

What a smoking little (BIG) combo. When Deb described the Lincolns to me, I did not really get it. What a class act!

Garooovy baby ! Sharp lookin' gang, funky swing, hot bg singers! Steven Ambrose is totally cool (and looks even better that justin trudeau does these days). Fab outdoor stage high over the glorious Rideau River with the Hill beyond.
