I was there. Friend and I rode our motorbikes up from Kingston and stayed at his cottage in the Gatineaus. I'm actually in the "Part one" video". Perhaps one of the best nights ever......Wish there was footage of the whole thing.
I’m searching desperately for a working tape of this concert and one other that was recorded in Brandon Manitoba. I will definitely upload when I find it. I did reach out to the media company that ran the superchannel back in the day and they were ok with the upload.
Hi Debbie; This brings back some memories. I was playing a six-nighter at some hotel lounge in Saskatoon with a bluegrass-rock band (that used to be a thing) and the Lincolns were playing down the street. I think it was 83 or 84. Played some some short sets and took long breaks to go listen to them. Some time later, summertime, the same lounge, and Amos Garret and his band were playing in that bar down the street. Saturday night, who comes in to jam but Vassar Clements and Roy Orbison, who were in town for a huge festival just north of the city. I remember a half hour version Mystery Train. I was such a punk ass kid, had never heard of Roy Orbison, or Brenda Lee, who was also at that festival. I think that was really the start of my musical education. It's funny, when I recently came out of a week long coma, those were the first memories that came back when my brain started repairing itself. I don't think that most people realize the power of good music.
Prakash is worth the price of admission
Is that Prakash John…..the funky bass player for Lou Reed, yes I think it is. Awesome 🤩
Prakash was sure into it. So funky, so tight. Even got some of that audience to stand up and groove - no mean feat in Ottawa.
Great bass man.

These guys had them moving at Broadways In the Fort Garry Hotel. We loved them in Winnipeg.
❤Fabulous! 👍
So good. Miss this.
soul/funk/blues - this band had it all - plus performance know how - it don't get better!
Prakash is a great bass player. He played with Bush (made up of Mandala members) before playing with Lou Reed (with Bush drummer Whitney Glan).
Micheal Fonfara is the keyboard player for the Lincolns
Just passed away
Another offering by the Lincolns with Debbie Fleming, Joanne Perica, David Blamires on backup vocals. 1986 at Astrolabe in Ottawa. RRRRRRockin'!

,, ,, "NOTHING," - BETTER, !!,
Used to watch the Lincolns at the Blue Note on Pears in Toronto -- they're great. I guess they're not around anymore???
Tenor sax player on left end of horns is Bert Hermiston RIP.
Its actually the great Earl Seymour, who has also left the planet-He and Bert were great players and great guys.
They were at their best with Danny Wiess on Guitar
Danny can be seen playing with them on more recent vids
Asher Horowitz is a great guitar player ...
@@steveford-king4069 Asher cant solo like Danny does. Danny's solo work is some of the best I've ever seen, hands down....
Ohhh yeah!
hello Shaun Jackson
Is Steve Sexton in the shadows on keyboard ??
Keyboard was Michael Fonfara.
