Excellent video again and great effort.
And that trolling motor addition seems to work really well. Great job.
And yes, you will often catch a lot of bass in the Rigolets marsh bayous. Reds of course also. In the winter that main canal (Geoghegan Canal) holds trout in deeper water. That canal drops to 16’ of depth and has great ledges. Can try the trout for a while and then back into the marsh bayous for reds and bass.
    Keep up the great work.
    Enjoy your videos.
    Cheers.
Ps… lots of lure suggestions. I love the Whopper Plopper! Also use a Matrix Shad with a gold spinner and also a Chatterbait - can work both right above the grass in most areas.
    Good luck!

I can wait for winter to hit. The Rigolets is the only saltwater spot fairly close to where I live, so I'm hoping to really learn it well these next few months.
I'm happy to hear the fishing can be good here, as I've had a couple of guys in some of the Facebook groups I'm in say it's not the best area.
I'm gonna have to find some different lures for next time, most of what I had this trip was too heavy and kept picking up grass every cast.

@@theangriestangler Definitely don’t be deterred by those posts. Rigolets a GREAT spot.
You’ve already mapped out the way to do it. Access ‘Double bayous’ from inside the canal, and access other marsh bayous from the cuts off of the main lake. You will have days where you catch 20+ reds and some bass for sure. And sometimes they will be in the lake all along that shoreline and further out a little. Trout included.

This is a great video man. I’ve had the flint and pivot drive for a while. I ordered the same trolling motor set up based off of your last video. So I’ll be uploading similar content in Tennessee. Keep it up!

Thanks for your comment; I'm glad my video helped out with your decision!
I checked out your channel and subscribed. I'm planning on moving up towards Virginia in the next few years, so it'll be nice to follow a channel that is closer to where I'll be living.

Texas weedless with a 4inch paddle tail works well in the rigolet’s. Plenty of bass there, you can try a 1/4oz weedless gold spoon too for reds and bass will hit that too. I need to get back on the water!

I need to try a spoon next time! I've had a few people tell me the Rigolets isn't the best for saltwater, but I'm unsure whether that's true or not.

One thing good about wind in the marsh is that the gnats aren’t eating you up. I fished Delacroix a couple of months ago…..was nasty the entire week I fished. Water was so muddy you couldn’t see the bait 3” under water. Caught a few Trout and red fish but had to seek them out. Guess thats why they call it fishing and not catching.. 👍😂 enjoyed the video. Living in Florida I will head back in October to try it again…. Have a great weekend. 👍🇺🇸🙏

Yea when that water gets muddy things get tough. I’m glad you enjoyed the video! Sounds like you got the best of both worlds getting to fish both here and in Louisiana!

I used to always say the weatherman was wrong but I learned that they will tell you the wind speed but before we go out we need to look up the wind gust , the wind speed can be like 13 with a 25mph gust , I hope this helps

This is a damn good point! I cant believe I didn’t think of that.
Thanks for the tip, that’s what this channel is all about!
