I just made this banana bread. I've tried so many banana bread recipes over the years and this is by far the best. It has such great flavor and a tender, moist crumb. This is the only banana bread recipe I will use from now on. Thanks for sharing!

I’m so comfortable using my hand mixers and stand mixers especially for banana bread, I think I will put them to the side and try to adapt to making these quick breads by hand.
Need to use these good working hands again especially since I’m only 30. I need the workout.
    I’ll give this a shot.

Something I have learned, when you double the Banana bread recipe, you *have to* put it into 3 pans. And, chocolate chip is an excellent addition. (I have found walnuts go sour too quickly, so I use Pecan nuts)

Oh hon your a goddess cute 2 haha thanks for the video I love cooking haven’t had much experience with baking however and I’m very lactose intolerant hence why so the alternatives are soooooooo helpful I wasn’t aware substituting butter with oil was even an option I figured I would have to find some lactose free butter or make it (normally I don’t keep or cook with any butters just oils for pan and such when needed) I’m looking forward to making some bread and watching more vids of yours only watched a couple so far keep the vids going it’s a great help

For the vegetable oil you used for the pumpkin bread recipe, do you remember what kind of vegetable oil you used? I used extra virgin olive oil for my pumpkin bread, and I think it made it dry. I don't know. Or is it the brown sugar in the pumpkin bread I added that made it dry.

Why oil for pumpkin bread but not banana bread? I think pumpkin has more moisture in it than bananas, so I feel like bananas need the oil more than the banana or apple…

    • @Thestayathomechef

You can do oil for any of them. I was just demonstrating different options.

In the printed version you say 1 t salt. In the video you imply 1/2 t. I’m guessing it’s 1 full t. but wanted to check.
    Also assuming unsalted butter.
    Thanks!
