    Those extra gas bibs are actually a propane conversion kit.If you use liquid propane instead of natural gas you would have to switch out the orphisis that are already in your cooktop with the ones in that kit.

    I have the same unit, except the middle burner is silver not brass like yours. Called Samsung directly and confirmed that gas regulator is not needed because the cooktop already has one built in. So you are fine without regulator. I will be taking the external regulator off tomorrow. Good review.

    Thanks so much for your video! In the process of getting the same cooktop (Labor Day savings!) as part of our kitchen remodel. Can you update with any reviews how the griddle is working and whether you use the 22,000BTU burner for Wok cooking? Thanks a bunch

    • @ipon70
      @ipon70  Před 5 lety +5

      rolf heimes hey this is so good to hear that this helped. On the updates: we don’t really use the griddle much as with most things you would use it with we don’t eat. But I will tell you this, make sure you oil or “season” the heck out of it before the first use, my wife got bacon stains and stuff stuck to it like no tomorrow. The large burner comes in handy from time to time especially if you want to sear or get water boiling super fast. That thing is like a jet engine when it’s on high. We still haven't purchased a WOK to use on it, as my wife is very anti-veggies... So it would be just me "woking" my food. Here are my only observations that you don’t consider at first when you first start using it. The pots or pans need to be as large as the burner you use or you will end up with melted handles or handles that are 5000 degrees when you grab them. The stove overall cleans up easy, but I would highly recommend you don’t allow things to just sit on the grates and get burned in over and over, it will take you A LOT more time to get those stains out. And when those stains do happen, final words, spray with over cleaner outside in a plastic bag or something and let them sit. Then come back with a scrubber. Overall insanely happy and stand by everything I told you in the video, including that the app is useless...lol....still is.

      Looks like you might have mis-read the instructions or maybe the instructions were updated? Guessing that the regulator prevents any high pressure bolus of gas from reaching the stove. Thanks for the video. Very helpful and entertaining.

      @ipon70  Před 6 lety

      ISEE YOU the foam can be put on the cooktop or the counter. I actually called the builder of our house and ask about it, because the old one had it on the cooktop. They said it didn’t matter it’s just to keep it from resting on the granite, but doesn’t actually even have to be used if you don’t want. Hope that answers your question/statement.

      @badlilstang Před 6 lety +5

      I worked in construction most of my life installing appliances... it goes on the counter... the builders are the worst about knowing how things truly go together.. Instructions say on the counter.. I have the same cooktop in my house I installed as well as the oven and microwave to match.. Also most builders don't touch the home... they contract out the work and just sit back collecting money. My Dad was a superintendent for many years and started his own electrical company until he recently retired. I grew up roughing in and trimming out houses (includes appliances). It's not even meant to make contact with the edge you put it on....I'm the guy you call for a professional install.... hope that answers's your question/statement..
