    What a brilliant satire of the exact style of show I always loved from the UK. Her scripts are so packed with jokes, the opposite of a lot of comedic writing of others.

    I notices half the cast also played in "DinnerLadies". The officer had just told her how trivial her case was and then went on to list crimes like throwing gum in a trash bin without wrapping it. 😆

      @@susanmoran5226 There are just some shows which just have the Sunday night smell about them, that simply do not suit other days of the week. Keeping Up Appearances, Antiques Roadshow, Lovejoy, To The Manor Born, Last of the Summer Wine, You Rang M'Lord, to name just a few. All have the Sunday night atmosphere and style. You agree?

    • @susanmoran5226
      @susanmoran5226 Před 3 lety +1

      I do agree. But I really like Keeping up Appearances and Antiques Roadshow. They are so British tradition. And then we have Downton Abbey a Sunday Evening Workd wide hit.

    Seeing Judith Chalmers in the sketch reminded me of something Victoria Wood said in one of her shows. "Telly? we've always had a telly in our house, I can remember seeing Judith Chalmers before she was brown! " (Er, I wonder if that's one of the reasons Judith suddenly stopped looking so tanned when she appeared on TV?)

    A few laughs (when the old biddy fell over and the fish fingers in the morgue) and several chuckles, but generally uninteresting and simply silly. A waste of the acting talent. I expected much more of Victoria Wood. It sounded to me like most of the laughter was canned. Sad that Wood was the only main character that was taken off. I love the tv series and so this was a very poor spoof.
