She cant handle him at all lol
Genius of spontaneity, delivery, content and timing-fine tuned over five decades-when will ever again see such a phenomena. RIP dear Dame Edna-and the great Parky too.
Such a talent, love this guy. . . .and Im a yank! 😅
This is what great entertainment was all about 25 and more years ago.
Most magnificently rude interviewer. If guests didn't get the joke, they got offended, like the Bee Gees who walked off his show because they are humourless.
A true deva
I must've watched this more than 20 times and I still laugh so much at the genius that was Dame Edna. Really truly sadly missed. 😥
"Please , please don't tell my wife"
I take it Margaret couldn't afford a television
Terry's did another Moments chocolate bar, with mountain shapes with white chocolate on top and praline inside. Delicious! I miss them.
Watching this made me want to apply to be on Drag Race UK, just so I could play Julian in the Snatch Game!
Barry Humphries was good at comedy the way Bobby Fischer was good at chess.
What a gem. Never seen this version of the show before 😅 I like how they changed it up a bit. Hmm, a bit... thats your willy that is.
god bless dame Edna..Aussie treasure. r.i.p
Wood and Walters gives so much joy, love Mrs. Overall
They admire each others work and how needed comedy is for all of us, and why it's harder to do well as it's audience reaction based
Did Bea live in London ... she was great in Golden Girls 🎉
Terry- 'You're not very popular in the business, are you?' Nice question, not!
Richard was dire and hadn't researched his guest even back then (Maude).
Perhaps the absolute best 15 minutes ever on a chat show. Dame Edna is perfect, despite the loud mouth of Sharon Osbourne interrupting and stepping on punch lines.
❤😅❤👍❤😅❤
I must have watched this ten times..... Completely marvelling at the sheer talent of The Great Barry Humphreys.
Yeast infections must be rife in that store
Mother in law, went swimming in loch Ness. And the monster got out and picketed the lake.😅
The original RockwAtch advertisement was due to be broadcast in May 87, but days before the launch the AIDS ad came out and looked too similar so Tissot had to bin it.
Making fun of handicap people is cruel not funny.
I had just finished the 90s series Tales of the City a few years back then once i finished it i started looking into it and saw that Netflix was going to debut the new special the day after I watched the old one on Amazon. Great timing.
Tony Blair forced the queen to talk to the people because if she didn't, the ROYal family would never be the same with the people again, the queen didn't make this speech out of the goodness of her heart.
This is absolutely superb. Dame Edna was utterly brilliant. That bit about Cilla - you just knew she was leading up to something.
King of Comedy... Thanks for letting me grow up watching and listening to you Humour us all with your hilarious talent... What seems like everyday you were there... making us laugh.. Its a good bye from me.. and a good bye from you....
I'll have a small tube of Calista Flockheart.... with applicator.
This is why Parky was the best. His questioning is subtle, collegiate, and unafraid to explore the nuances and niche areas. American chat shows would not probe a guest in this way. Their instinct is for uncovering drama, Parky's instinct was for uncovering things that other people hadn't uncovered...
Bless Parky and his phonie laugh.
Diana was still royalty outside of the Family, even as a Divorcee. She was the Queen we chose. She did everything a Queen is supposed to do. Look after the sick and care about people. That’s how a royalty is supposed to work. The King and Queen work for the best interest of their people. They are supposed to be Tribe Leaders, even in the most powerful places
It’s totally the bright witty ‘Alan’ from the second he appears. Few people achieve such brilliance, in fact I can only think of two others - Dame Edna Everage and Sir Les Patterson!
Wonderful film. Great artist.
It was sad when he described music being his "eternal companion" when you know now that his illness took away his ability to play the piano. Music was his first love.
Jacqueline tong looks so beautiful her voice too .
Is that sculptor guy the inspiration for the sculptor mentioned in Derek Raymond's Factory novels, the one who lost his hearing after being bombed in the Spanish civil war?
Legend at work we miss you les you were top draw mate
Did she pronounce it Winnie-bago? 😂
I recorded this on a VHS tape about twenty years ago and I used to watch it endlessly. It wasn't just Bernard himself that was fascinating, but all the other characters in the programme including Soho itself.
so witty, charming, and hysterical
She shows no mercy
Brilliant
Dick
I found him through Taskmaster. Like so many other British comedians I have come to adore. Now I watch anything and everything I can find about him.
Absolute brilliance... What a legend Dame Edna was...😂
Nothing like promoting the atrociously perverse & insult-to-God evil lifestyle based on leftist lies straight from the devil's mouth!
Brilliant character, and once again topical. He should bring him back.
