As a Czech, I barely know that such show exists, I remember just one year because of Hatari from Iceland, that was that crazy that I remember it, rest of eurovisions, I don't even know it happened and those bands and singers fall back to nowhere and you will never hear about them again and about their totaly random, generic pop music. Our local Czech singing contests (like superstar and others) were much bigger events and everyone was speaking about that, but eurovision? I knew that for example Abba or Nightwish are product of eurovision, but until like 2019, I didn't even know we are part of it too. 😀And I really hate when Czech singers sing in English, nothing against English, but to hear song with a Czech accent is just killing my ears.
BTW, Kabát is the most known Czech "agrometal" or let's say "redneck metal" in Czechia, but they actually played pretty good thrash metal in 80s and 90s. I don't know why they were in eurovision, everyone already knew them, it should be more about finding a new talents.
World really changed a lot since 2009, band gipsy.cz was famous back in the day, but today, you are risking getting banned for word gipsy on internet and american social media. 😀
