I was there when this was filmed. I moved into the upstairs apartment above the Whiskey in 1964, and kept the crib until around 1974 or '75, too old to remember anymore. Matter of fact I helped hang up one of the cages. Good daze back then.

IT DID NOT TAKE LONG FOR MITCH TO REGRET HIS DECISION TO GO WITH OLE' BOB CREWE! HE HAD TALKED MITCH INTO DROPPING THE DETROIT WHEELS..... FIRST OF ALL. BAD IDEA. THEN.... HE BEGAN TO " REARRANGE " MITCH'S CAREER. HAVING HIM SING SONGS THAT WERE MORE SUITED FOR A CABARET SINGER. NOW..... DO NOT GET ME WRONG. MITCH COULD DEFINITELY PUT OUT SOME GREAT-SOUNDING SONGS THAT MAYBE WERE BETTER SUITED FOR A CABARET OR A NIGHTCLUB SINGER. HIS VOICE WAS THAT GOOD! BUT..... CREWE'S IDEAS WERE NOT GOOD FOR MITCH. TO WRAP IT UP ( I BET YOU ARE GLAD!!! )..... MITCH ENDED UP SUING BOB CREWE. UNFORTUNATELY..... MITCH LOST
