The weird thing about Cincinnati, I have never seen in any other city is how in some areas the transitions from multi million dollar properties and the poorest neighborhoods can be separated by no more than a block or even just a street. Some of the areas around collage hill and victory parkway come to mind.
thats how OTR is. you literally go down one street and its all nice condos, beautiful buildings....you turn the corner and you're in Iraq. its like whoa.
Worse in comparison to what? IMO, it appears to be run down streets with little accountability being placed upon the property owners and the City of Cinti to clean the streets (while they're busy in Northside making they're little potemkin look "hipster" friendly) and most of the people you'll find in all neighborhoods doing the same thing just with different surroundings. So no, this isn't one of Cincinnati's "worst" hoods; it's a reflection of how the City has failed these neighborhood and ultimately the people who reside there.
Oakland, Stockton & parts of Frisco are for sure, I know cuz I been there, the others I don't know about. I've seen areas of downtown L.A. skid row that make these places look like paradise.
OMFG! That red warehouse on the left at the corner of Findlay & John @ 1:55! Back in 1993-95(ish) it used to be a business owned by a guy named Jack Renschler, which he later called, "The Bandwagon." We'd bust out a boom box and a couple cases of Weideman's or some 40's of Crazy Horse and skate all through the night. Fucking awesome memories, bro. Thanks for the video!!!
Chaee Price yeah downtown Dayton was mayby still is a shithole. By parents live in Beavercreek (which was Nice) 2006-2009 going from the suburbs to Dayton downtown was like going from Heaven to hell. My parents went to school there and lived there we visit almost every year and yeah there’s some sketchy places but there’s never been a problem we’ve gone through half those roads cincy is really chill...
This video has to be over 2 years old, because a lot of these places are fully gentrified or have been torn down. Especially in A-1 off of Reading Rd and downtown. Hi Charlie , are the streets that bumpy or do you have someone kicking their way out in the trunk . Joking aside it is a real shame that society allows these areas to get like this . A lack of employment , combined with limited welfare just adds to the upset . I hope times change real soon and the importance of everyones wellbeing is recognised - worldwide . I am sure governments could do better than let people have to tolerate living like this. Best wishes all from U.K. - we have areas in the U.K that are let down by councils too.

As a non-American who would never come by a neighbourhood like this, I have some questions (and call me naive): Why do all of these people just stand around in groups? What are they doing? If someone from outside of their group were to walk by, would they be approached or in most cases would they just let them pass?
A lot of businesses in some hoods play classical music to keep young people from loitering out front. There are some stores here in Dallas that do the same thing.

It's the most distressed neighborhood in Dayton, as nearly 70% of the homes are empty. Back in the 70's, I lived in a neighborhood you featured....
Random horse trailer in tha slums! I love it
My parents went to school there and lived there we visit almost every year and yeah there’s some sketchy places but there’s never been a problem we’ve gone through half those roads cincy is really chill...
I wanted to see charlie go into that green gas station. Idk why but I really like the hoods of Cincinnati
norlens noel me too
👍
This video has to be over 2 years old, because a lot of these places are fully gentrified or have been torn down. Especially in A-1 off of Reading Rd and downtown.
Da Nati has hoods, but not as bad as other major cities. You have to travel outside of Cincy to understand that.
I do miss the grittiness of Downtown, though. It will never be the same. #RIPNastiNati
cincinnati one of the most dangerous cities in the country youre fried
@@timmy513beats It’s really not, but ok. Lol
@@Nina513 statistically it is clearly you’re only in the burbs

I'm living on the air in Cincinnati, Cincinnati, WTF happened
No disrespect but how do you find the hoods to go through? I'm from and live in Cincinnati...this seems like what a Google search shows as the hood from 15 years ago. There is WAY worse.
My city dat bad thx for putting us on blast😂😂😭
He's not even recording anything...mainly riding down back streets & doing circles. This video is pointless. Click bait..
He didn't even go to the worst parts like Avondale or Lower Price Hill.
No this area of cinci is bad like really bad
When you live in Cincinnati,👍👍 poor get poorer and the richer get richer
Have you seen a demographic map of Cincinnati?
It's a bunch of spread out alternating 90% black townships and 90% white.
statisticalatlas.com/place/Ohio/Cincinnati/Race-and-Ethnicity
Check the "Map of Race and Ethnicity by Neighborhood in Cincinnati" and click on "Black." It's fascinating.
You can thank liberal policies for that.
Your statement can be applied to much of the world's villages, towns and cities.
The old saying goes "the. Rich get richer N the poor keep having kids
Damn flooding back the bad memories of dope boys and misery
Need to roll down Glenway at about 3 in the AM on a weekend...
Charlie - please go to St. Louis/EastSt. Louis !
Joe Becht east St. Louis is in Illinois. St. Louis is in Missouri. Two different cities.
I know the whole area well. Both would provide great footage.
Joe Becht He has filmed both before. Search his CZcams page for them
Do you have links ?
Joe Becht stop being lazy and just search for them. He didn't go to St. Louis he went to East St. Louis.
You haven’t visit Columbus yet?
thats what im waitin on lol
TOTransitGuy7755 Columbus is fun I will say that but Cincinnati is too Cleveland sucks
Chris DeBarbrie I have, I love Columbus!
I'm from Columbus living in Cincinnati. I could walk all over Columbus at night. I would not do that in cincy. Its crazy down here. People fight on my block every day.
Big Phizzle shit im a white girl n could walk through some of the hoods in Columbus, by myself, but yeah Cincinnati people are a little meaner lol rude ass mofos here haha. I was in Columbus before I moved down here
Are u in the North College Hill/Northside area?
Hi Charlie , are the streets that bumpy or do you have someone kicking their way out in the trunk . Joking aside it is a real shame that society allows these areas to get like this . A lack of employment , combined with limited welfare just adds to the upset . I hope times change real soon and the importance of everyones wellbeing is recognised - worldwide . I am sure governments could do better than let people have to tolerate living like this. Best wishes all from U.K. - we have areas in the U.K that are let down by councils too.
The streets are really like that
Hood starts at 4:45
zM Hatr3d Yup. Looks like he finally hit OTR around that time. That Shell gas station always has problems, lol.
The only hood I know that has a ATM on the corner. lol
Cincinnati has plenty of rough areas but it’s a pretty chill city over all.

Looks like Detroit to me
As a non-American who would never come by a neighbourhood like this, I have some questions (and call me naive):
Why do all of these people just stand around in groups? What are they doing?
If someone from outside of their group were to walk by, would they be approached or in most cases would they just let them pass?
They are selling drugs. Someone is a spoter
Many times it is a group of friends chilling outside either I’m their free time or loitering
@@ricedmattor dealing drugs
I liked the classical music before you drove off... I also noticed how quiet the scene was... Hmm... 😉
A lot of businesses in some hoods play classical music to keep young people from loitering out front. There are some stores here in Dallas that do the same thing.
A lot like parts of Indy, one place I worked my first task was fixing all the bullet hole in walls and windows, I also swept up spent rounds on the roof.
Who else just subscribed cuzz their from cincinnati
Just eating some gold star waiting on the Bengals to lose, lol

Used to live right there on mcmicken and vine. Sure don't miss that. Hearing gunshots and sirens all night long.
Try Hawaiian Terrace, Winton Terrace, Lexington and Hutchins, Forest and Alaska Ave in Avondale.
This must be a weekend day since so many people seem to be off from work.
mixer14316 no they just on welfare
Yea they are deep on the weekends
mixer14316 no it everyday and the streets are fuller!
This aint hood..this just life..silver spoons aint for everyone
Life in the USA.
I have a feeling that bros are always on a lookout to engage with you on something trivial, or just give unsolicited advice, or simply warn you of something, or otherwise frown upon you for driving by.
What area is near the University of Cincinatti. I once took an uber close to there and the area looked "hood"
