His handle was so tight wow
This was my goto move when I played back in the day ('90-'96). I put my son through AAU Basketball starting in 2011 and he was selected for he ALL CITY ALL STAR TEAM in 2014. In 2013 I took my son to our local Rec Center to shoot some hoops and he wanted to play some one vs one. When I pulled this move my son bit so hard on the fake he fell to the ground when he went for the steal and the ball wasn't where he expected it to be. He said "You can't tell anybody about what just happened." I said tell them what?? That his old man broke your ankles?? Wish I had recorded it... but I'll savor that memory for rest for my days.
Wow that was quick
Put This Game On NBA TV Hardwood Classic On TV
Back when Carrying the ball was Illegal the was the best move to beat your man one vs one. Nowadays with carry's legal hell why bother risking dribbling just take a few gather steps and put up a layup.
ya, my biggest issue with the game today is how liberal dribbling rules are. I'm ok with the gathering step(s), its the carrying and handle under the ball allowing players to get their dribbles alive that makes that game ugly to watch.
like if my friends are going to call me for carrying, why aren't the refs calling it??
