Zeke should apologize for leaving the court before the game ended so as not to be around to shake Jordan's hand when Jordan finally ended his career. Zeke should also apologize for playing like a dirty bastard against Jordan and the entire league.

It'll never happen. Jordan's not the only one whose ever called him that name , and if you know anything about Thomas, you also know tha he , right along with Bill Lambeer, was one of the most despised players in the league nearly his entire career and after it too.

Zeke is just a typical jealous loser. jealous he's mostly forgotten, jealous he's never (because he doesn't deserve to be) in GOT talks. jealous that Jordan took over his home city and gets morelove there than he does. all the kids in his family look up to MJ and it burns him alive. basically he's a 60 year old sore loser. when him and his thuggish team were bullying the scrub Bulls in the 80's it was all fun. when one or two of MJ's teammates developed into half decent NBA starters, well that was that and the rest is history.

It's VERY feminine to hold grudges like this. A man should be able to drop emotions and do the right thing.
This is the trouble with black folks all too often and this is why black on black violence is so prevalent. The teaching of how to be a real man is nonexistent. And the honor + criminal culture is GARBAGE. It's all very feminine and sad.

There's a backstory to the MJ and Isiah "situation". Bobby Knight was the coach for the University of Indiana where Isiah Thomas played for him his entire college career. Bobby Knight also coached the "1984 Olympic Basketball Team" in which MJ played on (he had not played in the NBA yet. He was drafted that year). Bobby Knight commented that he had never seen a basketball player with MJ's skill and that MJ had the potential to be one of the greats (this is before he played a single NBA game). MJ's Olympic team played the "NBA All Stars" to prep for the Olympics that year (Magic, Bird, Isiah, McHale, Walton, Ainge, Parrish, Worthy, and Drexler was on that team). The NBA All Stars did not win a game against MJ's Olympic Team (MJ's team went 8-0). Those games were not that close either. The NBA All Stars were shocked at MJ's skill and that he was bringing those skills to the NBA (there is a lot of info online about this). Also, Isiah is from Chicago. MJ not only got more praise from Isiah's college coach than he did, went undefeated during the Olympic trials in which he dominated, MJ also took over the city he was from. So there is some jealousy there as well.

I could not agree more, well said. Those are all excellent points to bring up, all of which are very true and definitely play a huge role in this intense rivalry.
When MJ came along he was other worldly and outshined all of the other NBA talent. Zeke wanted his hard earned and deserved share of the limelight along with the praise and love of his coaches and city. It's almost like an older brother being treated unfairly by the rest of the family. Isaiah was a great player, but MJ was the evolution of the game, which would become the next wave. I think Isaiah was jealous of MJ from the beginning, from that 1st team USA Olympic day. Lest we forget the all-star game freezeout, but then there's the popularity difference, money-making differences, and implementation of the Jordan Rules...
He uses the same old excuse all the time that Boston left the court without shaking hands with the Pistons after Detroit knocked them out of the playoffs in 1988. I'm not saying Bostons was right, no, but they left because the final game was in Detroit and they knew the fans would rush the court. It was more out of safety, but I'm sure part of it was being angry the Celtics lost. They did congratulate the Pistons after Detroit won though. Isaiah can't see how wrong it was to be so arrogant, disrespectful, and unbefitting of the downed champions. Why did he choose not be humble and respectful, congratulate the Bulls, and wish them luck? His whole story and career could be looked at differently, but HE made that choice and lives with the torment caused by his actions. He serves better as a terrible warning than a good example.
Interesting fact: if you actually watch game 4 of the 1991 Eastern Conference Finals, when the Bulls were about to complete the sweep of Detroit, with about 8-9 minutes left in the game you can see Zeke talking to his teammates and telling them of the plan he and Bill Laimbeer concocted to walk off in 1 final show of defiance. With just less than a minute left in the game, on the sidelines, you can clearly see Detroit head coach Chuck Daley saying and motioning, "No, don't do it/stop."

You are correct. Larry Bird still holds a grudge against Bill Lambeer for one reason: Not because he was physical, elbowed people, or talked trash. Bird said Lambeer would try to permanently hurt you. According LB, Lambeer would intentionally land on Robert Parish's ankles, causing them to twist. When he tried doing that to Bird, Larry did it back and Lambeer stopped.

What saved Isiah with Magic is that Magic valued winning back to back over his friendship with Isiah, which is hilarious because Isiah was trying dethrone Magic. Isiah is upset because he started the beef with Jordan when the 84 USA team beat the breaks off of the NBA All Star players (including Isiah) and his former head coach Bobby Knight said then that Jordan was the best player he ever saw. Then Jordan goes to Chicago, Isiah’s hometown, and becomes the city’s darling, then he becomes a phenomenon with his shoes, commercials and media presence. Isiah retaliated with the infamous 85 all star game freeze out fueled by Jordan wearing chains and his Air Jordan warm ups instead of Chicago Bulls warm up gear during the slam dunk contest against Dominique, rookie mistake. Isiah and the Pistons beat Jordan and the Bulls in the playoffs 3 straight years. The Bulls finally sweep the Pistons in ‘91 when Isiah and most of the team walk off the floor without congratulating the new Eastern Conference Champs. Colangelo and Stern see this as bad sportsmanship and strengthen their case for not selecting Isiah and instead select Stockton as the 2nd guard behind Magic for the Dream Team. His head coach, Chuck Daly, ended up coaching the Dream Team as well. Isiah loses to Jordan ultimately because he is seemly the type of person who tries to take matters into his own hands even if he is the original source of the turmoil and provocation. Both can be cruel and ruthless but where Isiah is mafioso, Jordan is Machiavellian.

But I loved it when Jordan's Bulls SWEPT the Pistons, and for the only time in my life, I rooted for the Los Angeles Lakers in the NBA Finals to beat these disgusting punks. Its laughable really.

Le Bron doesn't make those around him better, in fact every star that has ended up on a team with him actually sees a dip in their production. On top of this Le Bron shows consistently that he needs stars supporting him to win, where as Mike could carry a team out of shear will and could be counted on in the clutch to get you the W. Isiah doesn't even believe Le Bron is better than Jordan, he is just but hurt that Mike doesn't love him.

Expecting MJ to apologize is like expecting Isiah to own up to the way his Pistons played. While bygones should be bygones, MJ’s feelings are completely justified. The video does an excellent job summarizing the issue, however it should also be pointed out that Isiah never owned up to his Pistons either

See how he throws his own teammates under the bus by exclaiming it was Bill Lambier and Rick Mahorne but not me. Why in the hell is Isiah calling out names? Talking about his former teammates and blaming them? For real? If he can't live with the blame why bring up others?

You see I think the problem wen it comes to MJ n Charles is no so much wht he said I think it's abt how and where he said it bcse he cud said the same thing in a more conservative way on television but say it raw to MJ's face but in all Fairness to Charles he speaks Raw abt everyone else so he gonna Jam MJ the same exact way and hey thts just Charles.

There is one thing I'm going to correct you on here. This rivalry did not happened in the nineties. It happened in the mid-to-late eighties. This is when the Detroit Piston bad boys were at their Peak and Michael Jordan in the Bulls were coming up and nipping at their heels to take over the east.
