Prof Yusuf is very objective with his views,he doesn't criticise for the sake of criticism but does so with facts. He is one of the few great men we have in our society,i only wish him more health and prosperity. The Northern politicians need to look at themselves and start doing the right thing, they are doing absolutely nothing to improve the lives of their subjects, but living lavish lives with their families. They are capitalising on the poor educational background and religious bigotry of our people to do as they like.I just pray for the day when Nigerians will start shunning religious and ethnic sentiments and start looking at things objectively and holding people accountable regardless of where they are from.Because these criminals are riding on that sentiments and it's the same sentiments that is stopping Nigerians from uniting and doing the right thing.

It is my 1st time of listening to Prof Yusuf. I was just going to hear his introductiory statement and go about my business since it is usually always empty talks, but he got me listening to all he had to say. I sometimes wonder why we have all of this smart people, who appear to have the solution and we chose not to give them power. Prof, you are so realistic and I totally agree with you. It is not time to apportion blame,it is time to rescue human lives. I could not imagine my 8 year old grand child marched away from school! There should be a rescue team who know what they are doing who should be permitted to act immediately and anywhere in the country.
You reflect how I feel and not just business as usual.
    Thank you Prof.

Wonderfully spoken, at least candid expressions from a notable northern like prof. Usman.... Nigeria need rebranding and seriously sanitation at all level of government leadership....he should be taken seriously, northern politicians ruin lives of innocent northern youths with their dirty politics, certainly presidency would rotated as usual but the effects of their dirty politics and the consequences will kept the north in perpetual poverty for decades...the SW should immediately resume planning & strategy to defend themselves against intruder of northern bandits, otherwise SW would be testing ground if the north start cleaning exercise as they've realised their damages, mistakenly taken far beyond PGJ reign

what a shame to you authorities and leaders in africa, how do you explain that in a country, there are IDPs . where are you leading us too? the same ideology in europe is seen playing here in africa,we start inviting people to talk when action is needed to be taken, please make africa work for us and for you

Ha ha ha haha. Prof, your type of person from the north should be in the vanguard of preaching competence and honesty during elections, but you all prefer ethnicity and religion. Until we put all hands on deck to elect a crop of leaders with integrity, competence and knowledge, we shall keep on crying after every round of elections. Finally, Akpabio will not resign, have you ever seen that in Nigeria? Ahmed Lawan would have shown us the example

It is very important to note, kidnapping is horrific and it is as a result of the failure of our government. However, we should ask the lettered leaders in Northern Nigeria of there efforts in discouraging killings in the name of religion, kidnapping, making sure all their kids have access to education as well as bringing peace to their land.
