DTC had such an infectious energy. The show was incredible under him. The love he had for it just leapt off the screen. Great story.

It was very good story line last Monday I think it's the best on so far for me it made me cry I all ways been a fan i watch eastenders sins 1998 does this mean that this Lucy died and you will bring the old Lucy back I think that will give people big shock and a good end of the story line ending to well done good job :)

The Writers did a brilliant Job "saluting" The Beales. They never would do that with The Bauers on Guiding Light. By the time the show went off the air in 2009 you almost forgot they existed and they represented Five Generations.
There's one thing that dosent make sense... Lucy had her phone when she was dead in the woods, but in an episode a few days ago someone was burying her purse and phone... The only thing I can think is that the police gave Lucy's belongings back to Ian, and that may have included her phone, so Ian buried her phone... :o
Think it's very shortsighted to kill a character from one of the core families. Big mistake!!
I can't help but agree. I can see it being a shocking, appealing storyline but I've always felt there were such potential for Lucy and Peter, having been part of an original family and born and grown up on screen. I can see EE regretting some decisions they make, particularly killing off long serving characters.
it was a short term gain for the show but it has paid for it for the past 5 years. Only very recently has it began to recover from this short sighted decision
So many people today are giving out about why the fallout of Lucy's death cover-up is still in a way being played out more than three years later, and the answer is simple. Because DTC said it was a game changer, it would change lives forever. That's what Max's revenge is all about, this wasn't a story that ended the second Bobby was revelved or exposed but would go on beyond that and would have much more fallout that could go on for many more months and years.
At this point, I can't speculate who killed her, but I do think that it will be revealed that Lucy was pregnant. She had quite a heart to heart recently with the expectant Cindy about her pregnancy. I think that the BBC should have held a competition for best detective viewer who identifies both the purpetrator and the motive, in the shortest time for the 30th Anniversary of East enders - just sayin'đ

Boy this is so different from US Soaps. In the 2000's The Bauers on Guiding Light were all but forgotten which is a shame since there were Five Generations. I didn't have Eastenders where I lived for a long time but Man this was next to Tom King on Emmerdale one of the best Whodunit Storylines. The UK have always done some amazing Mystery Storylines.
This storyline needs to be good, 10 months is a long stretch, not to sure about it not being "predictable" you can almost tell eastenders stories before they even happen like the current Shirley, Mick and Stan thing
DTC clearly knows what he's doing!
IKR, he makes these storylines so brilliant. I hope he wins an award at this year's British Soap Awards. EastEnders all the way to win best british soap!

it's either max,jake, max - because when Ian was knocking on max's door hid hid so that Ian can't see him and when ian asked him what happened to Lucy he got angry and said NO! and when Lee & Lucy were together max found out & he was angry . Jake - because when he was in the restruant Lucy and Lee were there and he looked throught the window and he looked angry he also looks suspicious beuase he does not act himself

-Finding out Lucy and her dad Max were having an affair, she probably didn't want her family breaking up yet again.
-To keep her boyfriend Jay from getting with Lola, by killing Lucy, Peter's sister, Lola wouldn't leave Peter for Jay during such an emotional and heart breaking time.
-For attention, given the fact her elder sister Lauren seems to get all the attention, after her alcoholism and now with her new business adventure with Lucy.
The Eastenders promo has a song with the lyrics "...innocence lost" throughout, I'm certain the innocence in Abi Branning, the sweet golden girl is really no more.
(and in the promo she stands out as the only cast member in a coloured coat, red, and appears "amongst" the group [promo says there is a "killer amongst them"])

God this is so 180% from US Soaps. When they do an Anniversary Show, they do a Party, show Old School Clips, and bring back Old Friends who either work on Other Soaps. EastEnders is so smart because The Beales/Fowlers are still at the heart of The Show. In the US most of the Original Families kind of fade out in the background. The Bold & The Beautiful still have The Forresters & Logans while Days Of Our Lives have The Hortons.
I think it was abi I think she found out about the affair flipped out and killed her I don't think she did it on purpose though. It makes sense cuz Abi was acting werid with Jay after Lucy died.
The Writer Dominic Treadwell Evans was very smart putting The Beales at The Heart of The Show's 30th Anniversary since they were next to The Fowlers The "Original" Family on The Show. Kind of like The Hughes Family on As The World Turns in The US 1956-2010. These UK Soap Writers can give The US Fellows a run for their Money but Mal Young (Brookside) somehow didn't gel well during his tenure on The Young & The Restless 1973-present. Lily Ashby went to Jail, Hilary dies, Nikki kills her former Son In Law JT and there's a Pretty Little Liars Vibe aka The Code Of Silence. He no longer works on the Show but these past couple of years Writers, Producers (many of which are legends on US Soil couldn't cut the Mustard).

Hold on, it could be Bianca !?!! She is not on the 'suspect' list, but I think it could be her!! I mean for 1, the actress who plays her has quit and has said she will not be killed off (implying she might do to prison, or have to move away, just like Stacy) and 2, she is the adoptive mum of Whitney , who is on the 'suspect' list. Whitney was dating Lee for like a week, then on the last day before Lucy died, Lee and Lucy were found on the restaurant floor (her dads) after spending the night there (if you get what I mean?!) and Whitney shouted and fell out with Lucy. Maybe Bianca got angry with Lucy for upsetting Whitney and took it too far!?!?!? My thought!!

I think it was Lola coz if you watch the alibi video on CZcams of the suspects Lola says she was at home on Good Friday but. The video that was used as evidence on Lauren shows Lola with fat boy on Good Friday in the square meaning she lied.

I don't think the murderer is anyone you're all suggesting (Whitney, Ben, Bianca, Abi, Max etc.), surely I must not be the only one that's not blind here. It's kind of obvious it's the new funeral director guy (Les Coker). I mean, don't you all think it's strange the a funeral director has just moved to the square and someone's been murdered? I think its Cindy or Peter, I know they are her siblings, but Cindy could of done it because she shown her dad inside Lucy's box, so she might of been jealous to kill. Now, On the night of Lucy's murder, Lucy was talking to her dad, and he said she was his best child. So, Peter got annoyed and stormed off, and he could of killed her.
