    Would it be possible through software update to add some more modes to the sequencer? I love the random, back and forth and stochastic modes on my Volca Modular and those would make the Miniloque xd a dream come true.

    I really wish we could set the time division on the arpeggiator too, not just the sequencer. Then we could create some pretty cool semirandom evolving stuff that still follow a chord progression. Like, setting the step resolution on the sequencer to 1/1 and the arpeggiator to 1/2, and then input a cool chord progression in the sequencer.

    Awesome video! I have a question, how would I lock this sequencer to the tempo in Pro Tools? Sorry if this this is an obvious one. I am completely new to analog synths, and so far this XD is at the top of my list. Thanks for you time!

    • @jeffhayes422
      @jeffhayes422 Před 5 lety +1

      Colt Capperrune you can set the tempo manually to the same as your pro tools or hook up a midi chord that sends your pro tools tempo to the minilogue.

      @ColtCapperrune Před 5 lety

      Jeff Hayes thanks for the reply! I do a lot of 8th and 16th note arp/seq with soft synths in my productions. But I always want it to land on the beat, not just be at the same tempo. I’ll have to give this a try when I pick one up.

    I've mentioned this once elsewhere on another video a while back (on a non korg channel), but would you be able to transpose a sequence using the keyboard or via midi, during playback? If not, then can this be added in?
    Also making the sequence up to.128 steps ( I'm sure many people won't mind a couple of button presses to access each row of 16 steps), would be an excellent addition to.this fine synth.
    Thank you for listening.

    Novation just updated their Summit and Peak synths. When are we going to get a Prologue & Minilogue XD update? I really wish Korg would update the sequencer with more playback modes - forward, reverse, fwd-reverse, random. And probability per note would also be super powerful. Also, please fix delay sync bug when external clock is used. Seeing patch names when saving. More shift + knob functions. View current efx without having to cycle through all of them.

Im thinking to buy the desktop synth, but, how does the arpeggiator works, the way i will use the synth if can buy it is the next: i'm not a dotated keybordist so i will use the synth with the midi out option inside of the Fl studio wich is what i use, but how does the arpeggiator works using it at that way. Cause in the case of the Roland JD-Xi the arpeggiator only works when the notes are playing with their keys ¿you know? So the question in the desktop version of minilogue xd desktop is... how the arpeggiator will works ¿the arpeggiator will sound even if im "programming/playing" one single note or a chord? Yes. I'm using it on Windows 7. I haven't had any problems with it. Okay, I haven't used it a lot, but it's all gone smoothly, so far.
      Do you have the latest version of the USB driver, the librarian and the firmware? The firmware was updated shortly before I bought mine, and that's the last thing that changed - in March.
      See: www.korg.com/us/support/download/product/0/811/#software - the page can be quite slow to load. The firmware is in "Win minilogue xd/System Updater 2.10 2020.03.10 / ZIP".
      You might need to try a different USB cable and a different USB port on your PC too. Ones that can only do USB2 tend to work more reliably than ones that support USB3 - in general, that is; I'm not aware of any particular problems with USB3 sockets and the Minilogue XD.
