Drag races aside, Its crazy how impressive the GTR was built. 2000hp without exploding or ripping itself appart and putting the power down without drag slicks on noprep is something I've never ever seen before. The only other GTR's with that amount of power have been competly gutted racecars with drag radials on all 4 corners and a chute. Massive respect for the team that made this happen. Wow, just wow, what a special car...

We have a 2000+ GTR that's a full street car, not gutted and we just went 226 in a 1/2 mile. It does have a chute and Drag Radials.
There’s a 2500hp full weight, full interior T1 gtr built by Tony in the Miami area and it’s his daily. Did a 2.55 60-130mph on the street. Still the fastest dragy record
That GTR is so ridiculously fast. I’ve never seen a car make a Chiron seem slow.

Damn... That chiron can start for 2.3sec,but in video rhey drive him 0-100kh for 3.5sec..it a huge differens... So, drivers doesnt know how to start with bugati..
@@driptoohard8088 considering most gtrs making 2000hp have. Stop speed if 240+ mph. It’ll be a hard car to catch when the gtr is acceleration much faster. Once the gtr hits its cap it’ll definitely blow past it

Because they aren’t launching it properly. Should be a full second faster 0-60 and well into the 9s. Still no match for the GTR tho.

@@proctortoad it is an actual launch. Bugatti launch control is god awful. I don't know if it's because of tires or what but Triple F's Bug also has the same issue. Using no LC would definitely be better
@@michaelgakanga I've also noticed this with almost every chiron drag race I've seen. Possibly due to the insane power paired with awd and TC. Also not sure if it allows you to fully disable TC so that could be the problem.

I'd have actually liked to have seen the 918 against the GT-R just to see which one launched harder. Fantastic video, and I also still love the 918 the most, that thing is just special.

918 is best off the line but the P1 usually overcomes the deficit in the long run! As long as you 3 all had a fantastic time at the Track and all got home safely. Round 2 was brilliant and Round 3... your GTR is going to blow away anything it's up against! Thanks for sharing!

The fact the gtr trapped 175 in the 1/4 mile on 20” tires and a dirty runway is scary fast. Looked planted the entire run too, they tuned it very well.
Yal are slowly but surely becoming my favorite youtube people. Yal make great content. And are so generous and genuine. Yal just ship $3mil cars to people just for them to film videos and yal never once ask for credit or anything. So giving. The world needs more people like yal. Mad respect!
Keep the GTR. When it first came out it was smacking all these brands with many innovations. Now a bit of a tune to keep up with the times and you can see how capable the platform remains. It deserves respect (and of course also the tuner). I’d like to see it against a Plaid. Thanks for the video.

The chiron seemed slow i thought they ran much faster, seemed like he was launching it pretty gently, i thought there was some special mode for a much harder launch as i though they did 0-60mph in under 3secs easy.
Your not going to beat a 2000bhp GTR though :)

Nissan would win plaid has 9.4 quater mile. It would be fair to race against rimac nevera its quater mile is 8.5 and top speed around 260 it would make gtr look slow

How did the chiron get a faster 1/4 mile time wen u can see the 918 cross line first? Or did u use time from a different run? The 918's time was the same as the one on the run shown yet on that run it crossed b4 the chiron. ?!?!.

That GTR looked like an aircraft at one point. It's nose kept aiming up, like it was hitting V1, V2, then rotating for liftoff. I've never seen anything launch like that

We need more GTR drag racing, especially against something that can beat it. I don't know how long it'll take Rimac to deliver the Nevera, but it would be sick to see them racing and see how op the Nevera is actually...
Or a tuned r8 there are some r8s with over 1500hp
There is a GTR world cup every year.... where all the big tuning companies compete, its normal to see low 7 second 1/4 GTR's there, record is low 6 seconds, but i think ETS made it into the 5's but they were not specific. Also alot of 2000-3000hp GTRs at Texas2k yearly events racing modded lambos and r8's, believe the GTR had the belt for years till recently taken by a modded r8 on roll racing.
