Despite how you feel about Messi, it’s undeniable, that both as a scorer and playmaker, he really is different from any other player in history - contributing at both aspects in a way nobody else has ever done before. A once in a lifetime talent. From struggling earlier in the year to carrying his squad to the World Cup final, Lionel Messi is doing it all and further proving how he is the best player in the world. But unfortunately, he can't keep doing this forever. Does he have what it takes to push one more and finish with the final trophy he's missing in his final push to World Cup glory?

Brazilian here too, yes I’m 100% with you Argentina all the way to win!!
In my opinion he was already The GOAT and winning the World Cup will be the icing on the cake
without a shadow of a doubt
He has to beat France or Morocco to claim the title of GOAT. Without a WC, he will level with De Stefano and Cryuff.
If he wins being player of the tournament, most goals, and most assists, it’ll crown him. Crazy that it’s possible. If France get eliminated, and he scores and assists in the final, he has most goals assists, and will win player of the tournament
cake cake cake 🎂
France won’t be an easy task, they will most likely take it again
I think Messi leaving barca made him play better in Argentina. Leaving his comfort zone and struggling for a year forced him to adapt to new systems and that made him stronger internationally. S9nce he left barca he won Copa and will most likely won the world cup. This is what happens when you take on new challenges. Salute to messi. From a Ronaldo fan.
Messi was getting better in Argentina before he left Barca. His last few years in Barca were actually a nightmare and it's well known that he started to prefer playing for Argentina, whereas it used to be the opposite. He won Copa America BEFORE he joined PSG. Ironically, he had to leave in 2021 when he specifically didn't want to leave, whereas in 2020 he was dying to get out and just couldn't.
Completely disagree..
If that was the case, how come Messi’s Argentina won Copa 2021, he was still a Barça player then..
Adapting doesn’t always mean moving to different teams, it could also be a change of tactics from a change of managers. Messi has adapted to different managers at barca and Argentina.
@@vb2388 He wasn't a Barcelona player at that moment, but he hadn't joined PSG either. I think Messi started playing better for Argentina before leaving Barcelona.

Does it not bother you though that they are nasty bunch? This is a trait I've noticed over the years with Argentina teams. They are just so unsporting, not to mention the fact they've played practically no big teams so far, lost to Saudi Arabia, barely got past Australia, needed pens to beat the Netherlands and beat Croatia who were randomly in the semis.

the fact people expect a near 38 year old man who lost a child not even half a year ago to score like he’s in his prime shows how much ronaldo haters expect of him tbh
@@RaymarFootball ive always said this but if you are going through some thing like this don't play, no one can get mad at you, but the fact is Ronaldo decide to play meaning he needs to bare the consequences if he does good no hate if he does bad then he will get hate, its natural, i don't expect that much form him but using his child to say that's why he is doing bad almost seems like a excuse since again its better to just take your time, man U clearly do better without him meaning no one would hate Ronaldo since all the man U fans from last season that complained that Ronaldo made them worse now wont have to deal with Ronaldo meaning they can keep him out of the media
@@RaymarFootball I think he was slowly playing worse the more he stayed at United, I agree that he carried us heavily our first season with him, but I think he was already playing worse before he lost his child, then the unfortunate events made him lose his game even more, players supplying the ball less and less to him, and likely also because he did not want to break his back for the club anymore as he started to despise the club. But the argument about his age I think makes no sense, since Ibra, a much less athletic player, has been fantastic despite the age, I think Ronaldo has athleticism of a 28 year old now, it is just the combination of so many things that made him decline drastically.
@@RaymarFootball dude if you're gonna cry about your life issues in competitive sports then better not play it
I am 30 rn, and that means I have been witnessing his magic from the very start. I'm blessed.
Not a fan of Messi, but no doubt Messi might be "the best there is , the best there was, and the best there ever will be." In football history. And I am grateful to be able to watch him play a beautiful game during his era, and might be still able to watch a few more years from now before age really catch up to him and force to hang his boot. I am not sure in the future after both Messi and Ronaldo retire . Will there be any of the young footballers who could replace both of them. I have a feeling we are not going to see anymore with the modern satergy of football.
That's what they say after every generation. Watch out for Haaland
@@MirzaBaig77777 lmao, halaand is never going to be as good as messi, haland is great but like even pep his own manager said, haland is good but he needs maybe all his mates to do it and messi could do it by himself, that's what he said when a reporter asked him who was better messi or halland (for their age) and its true halaand needs a really good system and even now when people were saying that haland is better than mbappe i always said that mbappe is much more complete than halaand, he is a goal scorer but that's it, his dribbling is ok at best a little bit above average if not average but his main thing is scoring and its not like messi or even Ronaldo's goals where they can be really good what he does is not on the level does 2 did, but it doesn't matter since man city wasn't looking for a more complete player they were looking for someone that could just tap in the ball or get them a goal when they need to and haland was the perfect role for that
Not in the near future. I’m a Messi fan and for me he’s the GOAT. But CR7 is a legend, he’s in my top 5 of all times. Both of them proving consistent performance ( Messi having one bad season just as CR7 is having now ) .

Also he is the best and most complete striker we've ever seen, better than Suarez, Lewa, Ibra.
He doesn't have an extra skill like Messi playing between the lines, Ronaldo coming in from the wings or Mbappe stretching the game down the wings with his pace, but on pure goal scoring ability he's the best right now.
The assists by Messi in match against Netherlands and Crotia were something else.

In the 15 years I have been watching football. No player has ever made football as effortless as he has. There is a university study which proves with complex statistical and mathematical models just how far and above he is compared to all the other players in his era. CR7 is a great athlete, and I have watched all of his RM games, but he never really striked me as a legendary footballer. I have always enjoyed watching Messi, despite him playing for a rival club, the best I have seen as I can’t comment on the older greats because I didn’t witness their greatness.
Ronaldo is a great striker, but he is not the better player. And talent and technically-wise? Not even close.
Statistical and mathematical models? Can they account for the bribery scandal barcelana was involved in. Crooked refs. Fiffas clear hatred of cristiano. And last but not least the Copa America twice in a row, just so messi could win. He lost by the way. Twice to Chile. Can the models account for that. Tell me in way is messi superior to cristiano. Messi hasn’t fallen off… he’s adapted to his team and age. Messi is smart. He’s playmaking and passing in the Argentinian team more than ever and the goals he’s scored shows that he still has the scoring ability. He’s preserving his body while being able to be explosive and dangerous. (like in the Croatian game) his stats may not be what they used to be, but that’s because his play style isn’t the same. If you ask me, I think Messi in still in his prime in his own way and play-style. He truly is out of this world

This kind of football love which I find is lacking in the toxic footballing community where people take rivalries to seriously and throw hate and insults to different players and teams , even legends of the game do not escape from this. This people take football too seriously at the expense of their humanity.
