According to FM Promes "Would prefer not to play in Netherlands." Makes sense.

So out of curiosity I just did some research. According to Statista in June of last year, one Gram of Coke cost you 62 USD in the Netherlands. Bro smuggled 1.3 MILLION Grams of Coke. That equals out to 80.6 MILLION US Dollars. Quincy definitely watched to much Narcos lol

To add to this, only last week Wesley Sneijder spoke out support for Promes. Yes, the Champions League winner. Also Memphis Depay has been very public about still supporting him.

People in public life see their acquaintances as friends (because real friends are hard to come by and at least those work relations aren't just sucking up to you due to your money and fame). This makes them treat those acquaintances like you'd treat a friend - whom you trust not to do horrible things because you know them. However, they don't know them so they wind up endorsing criminals.
Happens fairly regularly. Like with Danny Masterson.

athletes necessarily aren't "rolemodels" only a selective few but we shouldn't brand just any athlete's that its an action and process being known simply don't make you one you can still look up to people, famous or not just my opinion.

Funny story about his trial. His attorney said Promes would be willing to come to the Netherlands to be there for the trial, on the condition he wouldn't be arrested and could return to Russia after the trial. Obviously this was immediately declined.

i've seen a metric tonne of cocaine. it ain't as big as your elephant analogy suggests it is. density of mass determines volume. 5 metric tonnes of d-4 machining steel is 185cm by 50cm by 10cm approximately. 1.3 metric tonnes of cocaine is a couple of pallets about 1.4 metres tall.

Not condoning drug dealing but let's stop acting like pro-athletes just need to focus on pro-sports. We all live under capitalism here. I'm not going to denigrate someone for having multiple streams of income. If lawyers and doctors are allowed to have them then so should professionals in other fields. Athletes can do as they please so long as they aren't harming anyone or breaking the law really.

@@ronmastrio2798well duh elite athletes serve more clients than lawyers or doctors and there are fewer elite athletes compared to lawyers/doctors. If the average lawyer had millions of clients come to his office each week merely to watch him work then he too would be that wealthy. However they don't. That's business 101; supply and demand determine price, not our personal values.
