Another consequence of this 2030/34 shit show is that it will leave 2038 with only CONCACAF and OFC eligible. Realistically only some combo of the US, México, and Canada could really pull off a bid between these two federations, which would be weirdly close to those same nations hosting in ‘26. I’m not sure a combined Caribbean or Central American bid would be viable, and certainly any bid from the OFC that doesn’t try to also involve Australia would be doomed. But thanks to the idiocy of hosting ‘30 on three continents, eligible hosts will be limited in ‘38. Really feels like 2030 should’ve been given solely to Spain-Portugal-Morocco and 2034 to the combined South American bid.

Forget Portugal, Saudi Arabia wishes it had even close to the amount of football heritage Morocco has. And no words need to be spoken on Spain. I also dislike the 2026 World Cup for the same reason. 2038 will almost assuredly be solely hosted by the USA. The fact that Canada and Mexico were join in the bid for 2026 wasn't because the USA couldn't handle running the whole thing on their own; they were along for the ride.
Maybe it'll be a joint bid again, but I doubt it.
2042 will be the earliest that we will be able to see a proper and quote-unquote "fair" bidding process for, as UEFA, CAF, CONMEBOL, and OFC will all be eligible, and I suspect that with the UK/Ireland hosting gig for Euro 2028, that they will likely offer up that little nugget of a bid for 2042, and it'll likely hold way more of a candle to getting it than anything South America, or Africa will propose, and then 2046, AFC becomes eligible again, so Australia and NZ could joint bid for then, and I can only imagine that NZ could have more than one FIFA approved stadium within the next 22 years, so I think it would be doable.
And then, since 2050, CONCACAF, would be reeligible, simply from the whole money standpoint, I suspect USA would host again, but maybe for old times sake they'll bring Mexico and Canada on board again, only this time maybe they'll give Mexico and Canada more even of a spread of hosting with them.
    So that's my prediction...
    Confirmed:
    2026 - Canada, Mexico, USA
2030 - Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay, Spain, Portugal, Morocco
    2034 - Saudi Arabia
    Prediction:
    2038 - USA
2042 - United Kingdom (England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland), Ireland
    2046 - Australia, New Zealand
    2050 - Canada, Mexico, USA: 2.0

I may be biased as an Englishman, but I'm a fair and reasonable Englishman, so I'd be interested to hear if that's not the feeling world wide. But I feel like the longer it goes without England (or UK) hosting a second FIFA World Cup, the more and more corrupt it seems.
The place where the original laws of Association Football were written, with the oldest football clubs in the world, which was involved in the first ever international match. A country where ex-pats took the game to places like Milan, Barcelona, Brazil. A country a that has pretty good infrastructure (it's not perfect, but where is), and plenty of high quality, large capacity stadiums, with the richest football league in the world.
Compared to the other major nations of Western Europe (which are also the only European countries that have won it), France had 1998, Germany 2006, Spain will have 2030, Italy had 1990. And all of those were (or will be) second times they've hosted the tournament. England just hosted it once, almost 60 years ago.
Despite the time difference from here, I'd love to see an Australia hosted tournament for the men, the Women's World Cup was great over there. It's weird to me that USA will have hosted it twice in my lifetime, before I see a world cup here. That's no slight against the USA.

But probably won’t happen as the government woudnt want to pay for it.
We have 34 stadiums that have a capacity over 30k, you woudnt even have to build anything compared to countries like Qatar or Saudi Arabia that has to build theses mega stadiums that never get used again.
The biggest issue is our already terrible public transport would get crippled more than it already is, aswell as this is the uk government.
