China's second large cruise ship to surpass predecessor in size, performance

Assembly is underway in Shanghai on China's second domestically-built large cruise ship, which its builders says, will outperform its predecessor, the Adora Magic City, in size and performance.
The new cruise ship will measures 341 meters in length- 17 meters longer that the Adora Magic. It will accommodate up to 5,232 passengers in 2,144 staterooms.
Besides bigger indoor and outdoor spaces for passengers, the new ship will be equipped with more advanced environmental protection systems.
The shipbuilder - China State Shipbuilding Corporation-says they hope to set new industry standards with the vessel.
Sea trials for the new ship are scheduled for June of 2026, with delivery expected before the end of that year.
