There's a male bartender in Lone Star (not sure about the name) in Bombers neighbourhood, but he's armed with shotgun as well. Also there's Gas Station clerks which aren't armed.

Gun shops most profitable :). 600$-1000$ Just take the gun out before u enter aim at head ,boom, grab money and walk out. They wont know who did it.
You forgot that conversation between night guards in the enemy of the state where one guy says that it would be cool if you could controll charcters on the tv (basically describes a video game) and other guard mocks him

Here's another one. If you should not kill a store owner but just threaten her with a gun and leave the store. Go outside the door and hide (take cover) by the door. Do not stay in the line of sight of the owner. The store owner will pick the phone and call the police saying that there was an attempt to rob the store. Now, walk a few metres and wait for the police. The police will come and question the store owner. If you walk in when they are investigating you can hear the officer asking the owner how the guy looked like. To this she replies "I didn't have time to draw a picture" I you walk in on them..she says "He looked like this guy" and you'll get a 'wanted' rating the cops will want to arrest you. Beautiful game. Crazy eggs.
Sohel Ijaz hi yeah the cops in this game were great they would stop you for speeding they would recognize the car you were driving also I'm pretty sure if you killed one that was alone and no witnesses were around you wouldn't get a wanted level
It's called "Good coding" & "Perfect alive world simulation" , not easter eggs. Easter eggs are more like coders' names on mail boxes , pictures of them IG , etc

I would say Witcher 3 also can be put in that category. Haven't played RDR2 (too much $ for me), but from what I saw it's up there with the best games
Not true there are still new games that are great. The Witcher 3 or Kingdom Come Deliverance for example.
The cop interactions in this game blew my mind my first time thru. They will ask for ID, if they see u brawling they will tell u 2 to break it up. They will pull u over for speeding and hitting and running usually letting u off with a ticket unless provoked further. These cops are so well programmed its beautiful!!
I robbed a store just by pushing the lady and as I was running out and got in my car, one of the male witnesses came running to my car door and pulled me out ready to fight but out of nowhere the cop siren came on and the cops came out with their guns pointed at him till he got on his knees with his hands behind his head! Lmao got away 😂😂

Yea that always pissed me off. Like in gta V the cops will aggro even if you stand there too long. Civilians will call the cops even if you just stand there too long. If u sit in your car even next to a cop that is in his car, like the ones speedtrapping on the side of the highway... Fuckin Horseshit and violently murders me immersion
One more thing you can see in the game is Vito getting known by the people and getting more aggressive through the game. As you start playing, if you bump into someone they might say something like "Watch it!" or "Watch where your going!" or even start a fight, but the deeper you get into the story the more people are scared of you so if you bump into someone they will say like "Sorry sir, my bad." Also the way Vito talks to his sister changes. At the start he is always polite and doesn't want Francesca to worry but as the game progresses he doesn't care that much what he says to her like when he told her that he'd kill Eric if he hits her again. There are many more subtle changes in Vito's character throughout the game, you can even see some in Mafia 3 but that's something you'll have to see for your selves :)

Just started playing it again... Great game, I really forgot how good it was. The car details, the shops, the world itself. It really makes you feel like you're in that time period. One of the best games ever made...

Another one is in the buzzsaw chapter (or whatever it's name was) when vito and Henry are talking Henry tell vito he is from sicily, and then vito asks him how he speaks english so fluently and then they are interrupted and Henry doesn't answer indicates/tell you that he is a rat and he uses a cover up story and lies about being from sicily.
I thought it was never made clear whether he was just an informant or an actual undercover cop

Not only Godfather references. The theme of the movie Goodfellas is too heavily implied also. For example in mafia 2 Henry was an FBI informant and the main character in Goodfellas was called Henry in real life and was also an informant. There are tons of references from various mafia movies.
The whole situation is a reference to The Godfather.
When there's a mission where you're coming back from the strip club with 2 drunks (joe and another guy), joe feel sick and ask you to stop so he could get out and vomit. Usually you'll drive and he'll throw up in the car but if you stop when he tells you to he'll get out and throw up.

Hi, I saw something the other day. You know, I've finished mafia 2 so much but yet I never knew this. After the war, before you head home you can talk to people. 1. Where the cab drops you off, there is the information/newspaper booth. 2. Then there is the restaurant, a lady would recognise you. 3. When you go up the stairs, there's a old lady that recognises you. 4. There is an old man who has to close down his shop.
It was so cool when I the first person spoke to me, then I started searching for more people to talk to*
I remember when i first played it and was stunned with such details and interactive characters, the game felt alive even though it was linear. Masterpiece.

I drove to the hotel where the bomb mission takes place when it was announced on the radio that the place was on fire, I went out of my way to go and check the building again sadly it was pristine. That detail is RDR2 level of good though and this game is pretty incredible for it's time.

I've played this game probably half a dozen times in my life and had never seen the cut scene with Eric after the prison mission.

I can't tell how many times i played it on both Xbox 360 & PC...like i played it over & over. 5 times at least i beat the game...& i still wanna play it, but unfortunately it's not working on Windows 10

Hard to say what is wrong, but I recently played the game, on W10. Maybe you need to download PhysX, seems sometimes the game can't recognize it's own PhysX from its first time setup. I got that error once
You may want to install the atest version of DirectX 9.
Because I was unable to play most of my Dx9 games before that, even when I installed DX9 included with the games.

Another small fun fact (for those that didn't know), the voice actor for the warden at 2:07 is Jason Zumwalt who was also the voice actor for Roman Bellic from GTA 4.

I actually think Henry didn't die. This might be just a theory, but: He was working for the Feds, and if the Chinese found out, it would be matter of time before the Mafia found out. The only way to disappear without being hunted down? Fake his death. Plus he was quite messed up, his face cut up, maybe masking that it was someone similar, but not actually him. Just my thinking. I want Henry alive.
LotRHobbitFan The theory could be true in real life.But not in this game.The way I see it,this game portrays the dangers and the horrible things that can happen when you get into this line of work.The idea was that you can't get out alive or without losing anything.Like look at Vito.He killed Falcone and got to stay alive and get on Leo's good side again,didn't he?But he didn't really win.Because he lost his best friend.Henry betraying his friends and getting away with it would ruin the whole point of the game.Henry was a rat so he died.That's what happens.This game is a masterpiece,not only for the story and ghe graphics,but for the message it sends as well
Stuff like this is why love Mafia 2, it's not even finished product but there are still so much details and options anyway. I wish they would remake it with additional content. Hope Mafia 1 remake gonna be amazing like this.

In the Prison chapter is another secret i think: when you fight against the chinese dude and beat him, someone in the crowd says with the tiger mode he would not have lost. Its a reference to the yakuza games where you can fight with tiger mode like tiger drop etc.

When you are out of jail for the first time and joe joins you in your new apartment. When you go shopping or rob shops. Joe will complain and say "can we go to your apartment now?" Vito also talks trash to joe for being too excited.
I would also add what happens if you rob a store, change clothes and then go back again. The owner has called the cops, and she describes the perpetrator, and every time you step into the shop and stand next to the cops she will recognize you and point you out using different funny comments and descriptions each time. Sometimes in Joe’s adventures she calls him “a hairy jungle man”.
There is also an easter egg in mission wich u kill luca next to tunel is homless wich referencing gollum from lord of the rings

I came here for we easter eggs and the fact that they reference my favorite 80s classic ghostbusters just because the setting is in New york is just amazing I personally believe they should've put like a modified police car(the one after Vito left jail) and painted it to resemble the ecto-1 and just have a special event where at night the car blasts from the firehouse to the hotel Vito and Joe blew up just to reference the very first call the guys went on it would've been cool even though ghostbusters takes place in the 80s and this is in the 40s and 50s I still thank that would be been to see

I feel like I’m lucky. I just started playing this game yesterday for the first time. It’s such an incredible game. Definitely going to be a memorable one for sure. I think I never gave it a chance because the first mafia was meh and the third i got as a gift and it just didn’t sit with me.

@@toxictophat4194 actually in order to super charge a car in any game mode even in story you need one of the jimmy dlcs installed
Also if you upgrade a Shubert pickup with a supercharger, smoke stacks will appear behind the cab.

Incredibly ahead of it's time. I wish a lot of the features in Mafia 2 were in Mafia 3, & hopefully we see them return in the eventual Mafia 4.

Hey man you did forget The dlc outfits that are movie references (the rebel with a cause/James dean outfit) in game coming from the renegade pack and is referred to as "Red jacket with shirt" in game and also from the Greaser pack the "greaser outfit" which is a reference to "the wild one" not by name of the outfits just the clothes them selves just thought I'd throw that in great video btw :D
