Free is good!! Evan did buy about 4 totes of dry wood his first year to keep up with the roadside stand. Other than that all our wood has been free! Some comes from the farm but here lately people just keep coming to us offering us free trees out of their yards! We’re on a roll. Thanks for watching David👊🏻

Guy who doesn't have much money asked what i was going to do with them, i said get rid of them. He explained his story, so i just gave them to him.

Nice score, Todd cherryand oak are a goodcombination.. I was watching a squirrel video a few weeks ago, and an arborist showed up asking if I wanted wood.. he hasn't shown back up yet, but we shall see as it's slow season for them.
When it rains it pours. Nice to see things working out well. Wish I was set up to do work like that. Now you need serious discipline to wait for it to dry and most importantly sell it n small quantities to make good margin.
Stan you are right and that is always our plan! We will not sell green wood because we want return customers. We have always sold in smalls. We have just started delivering 1/3 cords but I price it pretty close to the small loose stack price. If they want it great if not that’s ok too🤷♂️ Smalls are where it’s at in my opinion. @@toddsoutsideagain my daughter sells a few hundred bundles a year. Not worth selling bulk. I have people on my road selling for 65 bucks a face cord if you pick it up. The average price is about 80 bucks. At those prices there is no margin. I will sell bundles for 150 per face cord. Lil more time and labor. My daughter calls me free labor because love is free. Lol. It’s a worth it lol.
@@stannelson2582 you got it Stan! We have only sold in bundles and loose for that reason as well. Evan just sold a delivered face cord for $140. That’s 120for the wood and 20 for delivery. Then the guy paid him 20 to stack it and gave him a 10 dollar tip on top of it. So it’s just about finding the right customers name your price when it comes to the bigger quantities 🤷♂️

Well it’s just my opinion. I believe that some species like maple may not put out a lot of heat, but they flame real well. Other species like Oak put off a lot of heat but don’t give out a lot of flame. So I believe by mixing your species, the customer gets a little bit a good of everything. With that being said, most of our customers are burning it just for the pleasure and not using it to heat their home. Appreciate you watching Jeeparmy👍🏻
