I think that splitter needs to get a TOA sticker on it! To me it looks like the perfect fit for your woodyard. I enjoy your videos, so time length doesn't matter to me. But if shorter time means more time for Evan and Kendra before they leave 👍👍 Thanks for sharing I really appreciate the time you spend making time for us! 👍👊
At least you're not the only one hogging all the hot, humid, brutal, hellish weather for sure!🥵🥵 I really enjoy watching you become a master using the WR 17 VS-C and separating the various splits. The log lift sure makes a difference, don't know how I ever made it without one!! I totally enjoy your videos Todd so whatever is easier on you, especially in this heat, to produce is fine by me.
Yes this heat has been a real challenge! I’m a big baby in heat😂 Yeah I had myself talked out of a log lift but after having this 17VS I’m leaning toward one again. Especially since we will have more tree service wood! I always appreciate your kind comments! Take care Obie👊🏻
Just do the best you can dude, I imagine it's a lot of work. There seems to be less and less firewood channels worth watching so I really look forward to your new content. Keep up the good work!
Yes they are. I have been fortunate enough to have this demo and I have realized the importance of a lift! I also see a vertical really shines on big rounds! No lifting at all once it’s on the table! Thanks for watching Tony 👊🏻
I have been waiting on my Axis and Ms324 for almost 9 weeks now. You have been the first one I have found to give a close up view of the business end of that splitter. I think I may have made a mistake.
Well I’m not gonna throw dirt on the Axis because I have little experience with it but I gotta say this WR 17VS is a very impressive machine!! I appreciate the feedback and support Ronald👊🏻
I'm probably not your target audience but I enjoy time lapse portions of the actual log felling, bucking, stacking then the splitting and piling into drying piles or totes. The talking portions go over my head since it's not part of my world. However I just jump through them so you keep doing you and I will partake of whatever bits you offer if they interest me.
Well thanks for enjoying some of the parts😂 That is awesome that you enjoy the time lapse. I gotta say if you watch enough then the talking parts will become second nature to ya. I appreciate ya watching and commenting puirYorick👊🏻
Wow, those are some big pieces, and that splitter is eating them up. That splitter really lets you control the split and makes some beautiful wood. I appreciate the time you take to make the videos. and realize how time consuming they are. You should do what works best for you, we will watch whatever you put up. Tell Evan the picaroon he traded me at the Hoosier has helped this old man a whole lot and it is appreciated. I wish him luck in college. I am sure you are going to miss him.
Yes these big rounds are a breeze on a vertical splitter!! I appreciate the feedback on my videos! I will tell Evan. Yes I will be a lost pup when he leaves! Thanks James👊🏻
Love the big rounds! I always take them, little bit hard to handle but you get quality pieces out of them. The more videos the better Brother!! Love watching, Stay Safe, Keep Cuttin!🪵🪵🪵🪵
Yes big rounds are worth it in my opinion!! This machine has made them even more worth it! So much easier to handle on a vertical machine. I appreciate your suggestion on the vids and your support 👊🏻
That splitter is awesome! I appreciate you takimg the time to put out this content! I'm hoping to someday have that exact splitter (without the conveyor)
Yes this splitter has been so satisfying to run! The conveyor is great. I think for what we do I would order it without the conveyor as well. We could just slide the wood right into our little trailer. Now I would get the conveyor if I had a tractor and then I would let the splits fall right into an IBC tote and then move them with a tractor. Depends on your operation🤷♂️ Thanks for watching 👊🏻
Beautiful wood! You guys sure are building up the inventory. Hard work pays off! The 2nd video each week would be great but do what you can. I'll watch no matter how many videos you do. - Tim
Big rounds are worth it for me as well, even before I got the Wolfe Ridge. Till the kids are off to college, if all you can do is 1 video a week, that's ok with us.. 90s for us here in Western Washington for this weekend 😮 Happy Independence Day. 😉👍
Absolutely the huge rounds are worth it, like you said even if you don’t have a lift. If there is a will there is a way! I will be there Wednesday and Sunday!!😂 Great looking splits Todd👍👊🍻🇺🇸
Them 300 lbs round 😮, you should put cooking oil on the splitter table, make it easy to more the round under the splitter wedge todd . Cooking oil like 👍 peanut or corn 🌽 is an organic oil great for the BBQ bundles 😊.
@@fatefarmspa what fun is firewood without a little banter and friendly rivalry? Todd seems to be a great guy. Wish I had more time to chat with him at the Frenzy.
Hello Todd, understand the morning and evening is the best time to work in the Woodyard. Did you build that 5th great stall? Looks great! That vertical splitter sure was a nice one. Have great 4th with family.
Yes Sat Sun mornings and evenings after 6:30 are my woodyard times😂 The 5th wheel port we did build! Evan and my wife were my support team! Appreciate ya watching and have a great 4th🇺🇸
Well I have the most use for slabs! I usually just leave the logs a little long that way if it splits I got room! I hear you though my dad does a little woodworking and it will split pretty bad! Thanks for watching Jason👊🏻
I wish I had one. That splitter reminds me of a butcher shop where everything is right where it needs to be to make work flow easier. To not have to rip/bust 300# rounds into 1/4’s would be nice because I mostly go after big rounds to make the trips to the dump site worth while.
Having the opportunity to run this demo has really opened my eyes to vertical splitters. You are absolutely spot on with your analogy!! Thanks for watching Salt Rock👊🏻
Well ya got a point! That camper will start getting used more this year! It will be our hotel on wheels to visit the kids in college😂 Thanks for watching Everett👊🏻
The size of the round doesn't matter one bit with a quality commercial vertical splitter. Split your round into any size you want. Perfect machine for a solo operation. The only caveat to that is when the round gets to be bigger than your working table depth, then do your self a favour and pre split your round into smaller chunks. They're easier to man handle.
Yeah, I hear ya on the vertical splitter! The vertical does save on the manhandling!! Being able to slide them on the big work surface makes all the difference! Thanks for watching and commenting 👊🏻
Size of our limbs , we cut into hardwood. What would call a tree 5 feet 🦶 to 8 feet common across . Biggest yellow birch I cut in my life time just under 17 feet across . Two yrs ago my cousin cut a birch 15 .9 feet 🦶 across todd . 😊

One ☝️ thing easy to put in 12 hrs plus in the timber . Get out side for all day no problem here because we are getting snow ❄️ in high county the last two night .

On the west coast every time I get tree service company wood I ask for 16" length and they always cut it 18 to 24" long then I have to break it down and I end up with a big mess of cookies. I just stopped we have an abundance of wood out here it's not worth it.
Yeah I hear ya! I’m pretty up front with the two tree service companies I work with. They usually either bring whole logs or I go to them and cut it up myself! Thanks for watching 👊🏻
Them big rounds produce some mighty fine barkless splits . Keep them videos coming Todd we all like seeing what ya doing .
Yes they do! Split more today and got some beautiful barkless bundle grade! So satisfying on a vertical machine too! Thanks Phil👊🏻
