Hello everyone welcome to the channel. Todd’s Outside Again was started to continue to interact with the good, like minded people, in this outdoor community after my son stepped away for a break from his channel. It will show the growth of my awkwardness in front of the camera as well as growing a small firewood business with my son. Father and son team working together to pass on work ethic and life lessons. Free is my favorite 4 letter word. Big or small we cut it all. Great video.
Free is free, if he’s bringing it to you and it’s not punky, it’s a win
Like the opening of the video with all that nicely stacked wood! Great splitter! Have a good one Todd.
Well worth a load like that dropped off on your doorstep!👍 Glad you were able to enjoy a couple playdays off with soccer mom and Evan cleaned and disposed of the crumbs and undesirables. Life's good Todd.😃🍺👍
Yes it is. Ya just can’t beat free and delivered! We had a great trip. Thanks Jimbo👊🏻
Hey there Todd and Evan. Man free wood is free wood. I only wish I could find free wood. I’ll take most anything that’s free. Take care
You bet it is. Free wood is good wood! It took me a long time to find a tree service to work with me and I’m grateful. Such a time saver. Hopefully you will run into someone Allen. Thanks for watching 👊🏻
Any wood that dropped off house that don’t have to go gets a win. Most wood I go get myself. Tree guys cut all kinds of lengths. So longer logs better. Stay cool ✌🏻
You bet it is. Up until a few months ago all our wood for the most part was sourced from the family farms. Having tree service dropped off saves a ton of time even if I have a little waste. Thanks for watching Dan👊🏻
Definitely looked like a good load to me. It was straight and clean too!! I usually don’t like fooling with stuff as big around as your arm, it’s just too much bending over in my opinion. Looks like you got 2 good sources for wood Todd. Enjoyed the video fellas!!
Yeah some was small but for the most part Evan enjoyed a couple campfires and we got quite a bit splittable. Worth it to me. Thanks for watching Jacob👊🏻
I see lots of “one push” wood. You’ll fly through it with that auto cycle. 👍
You make a great point. Been so hot we haven’t split in a couple days😂 Thanks for watching Jdubb!👊🏻
Hey Todd , free is free . The guy who works by himself does pretty dang god job . Glad yall had a good and safe trip . Take care 👍🏻🇺🇸🪵
Yes sir it is! Yeah he has been doing it a long time without equipment! I don’t know how he does it! Just climbs up the trees and uses ropes to swing the big limbs down. It’s amazing to watch. I’ll take my chances staying on the ground 😂 Thanks Del👊🏻🇺🇸
Does your sons has CZcams channel?
He did Isaiah but he hasn’t posted on it in a couple years. Thanks for watching 👊🏻
It's like you've said Todd, free is free no matter how you cut it! Nice pile of wood you got there!
You got that right! I appreciate ya George👊🏻
Tree Service Wood is definitely worth it. Since i started, that has been 90% of my main supply. Sometimes, there is more work involved than others, but it all evens out
You bet it is! I’m slowly trying to get my percentage of tree service to outweigh what I have been cutting on my own. Family farms etc.. Tree service is such a time saver. Thanks for watching Daniel👊🏻
I would take that all day long, I don’t do a lot of splitting but that looks like good wood to me
You and me both! Yes this ash is very good. Splits pretty good and dries very fast! Thanks for watching Chris👊🏻
Nice tree service wood ,would be greatful to have that delivered. Nice video as always 👍🇧🇻
I agree. It was free and delivered. Really can’t complain. Thanks for watching Fredrik👊🏻
I tell my tree guys anything 6 inches and up. Sometimes there’s some 4-5 and I usually just give those to my boiler buddies while! 8-12 inches is ideal, but I’ll bust up some 40s if i need to 💪
Yeah he usually don’t leave the small stuff. It was all mixed on his trailer this time so I got it all. It’s all gonna burn. In appreciate ya watching 👊🏻
Worth it
You bet it is! I appreciate ya watching 👊🏻
I would take that wood all day. The big stuff is nice, but normally cut about 25 inches long when I get it. You can cut to the length you like easily with that wood you got.
It was pretty nice after it was all said and done. There was very little waste/cookies! Thanks for watching Mike👊🏻
Free wood is always good wood unless it's really dirty and muddy. That's a good score on the ash. When I cut my wood I'll usually cut everything down to an inch. I don't sell any wood I heat my house with it.
You bet it is! Especially when it is delivered. Yeah if you’re burning for your own personal heating anything is good when it’s free. I appreciate ya watching Kevin👊🏻
I like that tree service wood!! I see you got so excited that you were dancing with a running chainsaw.....that's a no no!!!😅😅😅😅😅 Stay Hydrated and Have a Safe Day
Yeah I stumbled a bit! I’m really not a big fan of cutting in piles like that. So easy to trip! Thanks for watching David👊🏻
Being able to move the 28 Pro around the woodyard by hand is priceless
Yes that is one big advantage for me and my operation so far! I appreciate ya watching and commenting 👊🏻
Free is money in the bank. It's good quality wood metal free and any cookies you can burn in your pit or cookies and uglies bin for sale cheap. If I had to guess probably visited Outdoors in the 608???
You got it! Thanks for watching Jimmie👊🏻
I would take small to big
It’s a lot harder to break down the big stuff! I don’t blame ya. Free is good either way I guess. Thanks for watching and commenting Robert👊🏻
Nice you have some tree service delivery and one you said will fill your trailer. It's all good. Tractor with a bucket can work wonders too. Even a subcompact can lift heavies for you vs a log lift. It can help orient species of mixed wood if that's your game, or provide correct height bucketloads for stacking. I enjoy watching your videos. You run a tidy operation.
Yeah it took me a couple years but I have found a couple good tree services that will work with me. Yeah I would like a tractor someday. I know I would find all kinds of uses for it too. Thanks for watching Jack👊🏻
I think Evan needs to give you a raise !🤑 Nice work Guy’s 👍👏🇺🇸
I think you’re right!😂 Thanks for watching Rick👊🏻🇺🇸
That green Ash will split real nice and dry quickly once split.
Yes it does Larry! Thanks for watching 👊🏻
I have both kinds of those tree services and i dont care what they drop as long as its under 36in diameter bigger than that is a issue for me with only a small tractor and no log lift
Yeah I’m really not a fan of the big big stuff either. I will say that the vertical machine I had really made the big rounds effortless. Thanks for watching Travis👊🏻
Todd I've cut firewood off and on for 20+ years and I've never been loyal to one brand of 2 stroke oil over another. All my stuff is stihl and the past 2 years I've been using their ultra the last 2 years. It seems ok,but I've also heard others complain about it some. Just picked me up an ms400c and was wondering what 2 stroke oil ya'll use.
Hello. I use the ultra 90% of the time! I’m not sure it’s the best but I haven’t had any issues with it🤷♂️ Amsoil is really good if you can find it. Thanks for watching. You’re gonna really enjoy that 400c👊🏻
@@toddsoutsideagain thanks bud, yeah I've got a stihl dealer just a few minutes away, makes it convenient and the price is good. I've heard of amsoil, but I'll have to look and see if anyone carries it near me. I've not had any trouble from stihls oil either. Thanks again.
I would definitely take it.
I agree. 👊🏻
Yep I'm in Milwaukee. If I knew you were comin I'd a baked a cake. Lol
Dang it! I missed the opportunity for a cake😂 Thanks for watching Mark👊🏻
All tree services are different but free wood is just that “ Free “. Keep working at it because there will be more coming soon I’m sure. I like any free wood but the small stuff will wreck your shins if the rakers are filed down too far 😂
I hear ya on free! I also hear ya on the shins😂 My shins already take a beating at work! Thanks for watching Russ👊🏻
That old standing dead red oak (could be white oak that has changed colors over the year) is great firewood. Some of the best I've burned looked like that.
Yeah it does change for sure. Hard to tell sometimes. I just knew this tree was a Red Oak. Smelled like one when we cut it too😂 I appreciate ya watching Paul👊🏻
Definitely worth it..
Thanks Ted👊🏻
Free wood, I like it!
You and me both Bill. Thanks for watching 👊🏻
Nice little haul of ash 😊 the price was right, delivered, and good size for bundles 👍
Yes it was! Free and delivered is the best kind of wood😂 Thanks for watching Lyle👊🏻
Nice looking wood! Keep 'em comin Todd! 👊 - Tim
Thanks Tim👊🏻
I get tree service wood. One has a chipper and one doesn't but they both will bring me logs from time to time. Most of our trees here are conifers so rarely usable limb wood.
Awesome! Yeah this particular tree service works alone and doesn’t have equipment. He climbs the trees and drops most of the limbs right on his trailer. I’m happy to have them both. Sure makes things easier!! Thanks for watching 👊🏻
100% chance it will all burn!
You are 100% correct Sir Chris👊🏻
You already know what I think 😂. Good video boys!
Yes I believe I do😂 Thanks Mike👊🏻
That’s awesome they will take the time to drop it off. Great people. I’m either on site of tree removal or a dump site. Sometimes I catch the service at the site and he will load it. Most times I’m at the dump site dragging logs out a pile with my truck, bucking then using a dolly to walk them up and into the trailer. Occasionally I work with the service and leave with a load or two. 👍
Yeah he usually calls me when he is working real close and gives me the option to come and buck it up myself. If I can’t make it he will just bring it to me. Works for me. That’s a good deal if you can catch your guys at their dump site and they load you up👍🏻👍🏻 Thanks for watching Salt 🪨
Those small ones have driven my daughters bag sales for the few years. I’m my own lands tree service. I keep everything because it all burns. My pit my stove or some else’s pit! Thanks the relatable videos.
Yes sir Stan! It all burns. Thanks for watching and supporting the channel👊🏻
I don’t believe I would turn that smaller stuff away , walk over cut , split , stack or pile and that’s it. Saves you guys a few steps in the process., no driving , cutting , picking up , driving home etc.. Good deal 👍
Oh no! We are happy to get it. Save us a ton of time. It takes us 45 minutes one way to drive to one family farm!! I have never turned down free tree service wood😂 Thanks for watching Richy👊🏻🍻
Every tree service is different but if there bringing ya free clean wood it’s all good . Big wood or small all depends on what works for you . I like the long logs just for ease of moving it around in the wood yard . Won’t be long Todd and your gona have to rent some ground to store all the wood the tree guys will be bringing ya .
You bet it is! Free and delivered is extra awesome. I like both now that I have log lift in the woodyard😂 Thanks Phil👊🏻
Free is free so that’s always welcome. Personally I like the larger pieces …..less picking up and bending over
I worked for a tree service guy and I kept a tube of tecnu poison ivy scrub at home, the stuff works great for me. I don't mind limb wood.... less hand splitting for me. Thanks Todd 👊👊
Yeah I have used that tecnu. stuff works pretty good. I just didn’t know I came into contact with the ivy 😂 Thanks for watching Ken👊🏻
Your getting a pretty good shirt collection
Yes I am 😂 It’s getting hard to figure out which one to wear. Thanks Bob👊🏻
Todd, Around me most tree services as you to come pick up the wood from the jobsite. I definitely can't complain when it is brought right to your yard. That is my thoughts on it. Ash is cash!!
Very true! Working full time I can’t always be there. So if I can’t he delivers it to me. I’m grateful! Thanks for watching 👊🏻
@@toddsoutsideagain Perfect agreement there. My tree service drives right by my house to head to his yard. It couldn't be more perfect.
Like you said it was FREE and as it has been said all wood burns.
You bet! Free is great! I’m grateful. It saves us a ton of time. Thanks for watching Clarence👊🏻
For that type of tree service delivery, or that type of smaller diameter woods,,,, its where a tilting circular saw really comes into play,,, fast, efficient, cheap,,, put your chainsaw away for the smaller woods
Yeah some of it was pretty small. It’s ok. He usually has it sorted out and brings me the bigger stuff but this tree was smaller so it was all on his trailer. I have used my miter saw to cut limb wood before. Works great. Thanks for watching 👊🏻
Personally I'd rather have the limb wood & smaller stuff. Much easier to work with than the big heavy ball-buster crap... & hey.. It all burns! Have a great day from Mick in the UK. 👍
Yeah I hear ya!! Before these Wolfe Ridge splitters showed up in my life I dreaded the big stuff😂 Thanks for watching Mick👊🏻
It may be more work but the smaller stuff burns great also! Like you said well worth it especially when it is a great wood like ash is cash!!👍👊🍻
Little extra work but yes it all burns! Free and Ash at that, you can’t beat it! Thanks Jeremiah 👊🏻
