Yeah Lois becoming a nurse makes sense, she’s got to learn to take care of that constantly broken heart of hers from all those broken engagements lol
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
ouch...that cut deeper than a kryptonite bulllet.
The perfect Lois roast.
plus good for the next time she jumps off a cliff to get superman to get her to the office😆
I can't believe Superman invented online dating
Your comment is awesome! 😆
Superman: "So that Phillip fella didn't work out, let's see who the computer suggests now. Jeffery Dahmer eh? Sounds like a swell fella for Lois."
"Anyone other than me"
Oh dear.
"This Ted Bundy character's *PERFECT* for Lois!"
😭
"A marriage because Lois thought someone was HANDSOME was no longer expected."
But without that, who even is she?!?
a nurse... part time thou
the essence of lois's character:
marrying someone *handsome*
I can see Lex getting involved and funding Phil's research and later rebranding Adrenalin X into Adrenalin Lex. Yeah .. I'll see myself out.
Very Clever 🖖🏾
hey, you want some...adrenaline lex?
AdrenaLex. Edited it to capitalise the Lex.

Can you imagine the psychological and emotional scars that Lois would have if all of these stories really took place?? Oh the therapy!!
She would be a glorious hot mess. LOL
She has enough trauma to become apart of the Batman rogues gallery and an Arkham patient.
Someone needs to go look back at how many Lois Lane suitors died. As soon as I saw how this was going I thought "Damn it! How many more suitors have to die because of silver age Superman/Lois relationship disfunction! Noooooo !!!"
Now THAT’S a playlist all by itself! Or a support group for the survivors. “Sob! She said she loved me, not that caped cretin!!!l
Well, we never actually saw Superman killing them all... so I guess they could be accidental. 🤔 #possessivesuperboyfriend #murderousjealousy
For a split second thought that somehow the twist would be that Phil was really Superman.
I was assuming that Lois would think that Phil was Superman. But I guess that was Silver Age logic, and not Bronze Age thinking. 😀
Me too! But then, that would be super creepy!😳😨
I think this camera could be really useful for therapy - help people break through their projections to what is really bothering them, or show patients the focal point behind their distractions. Could get really dark, though. Also, maybe for market research - like a camera station at an attraction, to see if people are actually impressed by or interested in the featured item.
Also could be used to basically replace art in some ways. Direct pictures of your imaginer constructs.
@@DIEGhostfish Ooo, I like that! Or experimental architecture. Basically anything we use 3D modeling to do today.
@@haldon12 I've had friends describe really vivid dreams to me I would LOVE to see exactly what they do.
@@DIEGhostfish same. Imagine being able to think up a drawing or image. Animation would be so much faster and better.
@@ProjektTaku or witness identification. Instead of a police sketch artist, they ask witness to describe what they saw and then get a picture of it
With Dr Strange 2 coming out could you please talk about the time his girlfriend cheated on him with Benjamin Franklin, nothing in comics have ever made me feel more betrayed
Wait, what?
To be fair, it does not surprise me that the documented womanizer, Benjamin Franklin, would do this
Benjamin Franklin, the Brooklyn Beckham of Marvel Comics.....but more powerful.
@@cabum1450 yep, that was a real thing that actually happened 1976s Dr Strange number 18
@@savitoon2287 Honestly, after hearing about all this ages of comics from before my birth, I don't know how I even felt surprised by something like this. They sure love crossovers.
Phil and his Adrenaline-X remand me of Hourman and his Miraclo pills. If only Phil wasn't driven by his insecurities!! This was also a very 'Lois lite' type story. For me, what was missing was Phil having at least a Lois Lane shrine, if not a trophy room.
As a side note, this story demonstrates why thought bubbles are necessary in comics. You get the immediate individual thoughts of a character as opposed to doing them in caption boxes, which don't have the same effect.
Phillip kind of reminds me of the Hank Pym of the 60's. Handsome, intelligent, blonde biochemist who feels insecure, that the Wasp is attracted to the more powerful members of the Avengers (especially Thor) and so invents a formula that increases his powers, leading him to retire from being Ant-Man and becoming Giant-Man.
Sasha will immortalize this series in history, this playlist needs to be preserved in a DC museum
💯 Agree 🖖🏾
this needs to happen✊🏾
I read the thumbnail and immediately thought this was about Superman trying to romantically pursue Lois’s husband. 😂
It's interesting how other guys compete with Superman but then Superman competes with Bruce Wayne. The dynamics between the two can never get old 👍
I’ve never felt so bad for a one shot comic character as I have Phil. Poor guy.
I like how this Phillip guy didn’t even question the twister that dumped him in front of Lois. Just started flirting with the pretty lady. I do feel bad for the guy though. Superman is a hard act to follow. But Lois did seem to like him despite never hearing her thoughts on anything.
Man, I feel sorry for Phil. He was easily the best lois suitor, but his insecurities eventually led to his downfall. btw, you should do a video on the original superman story, titled "reign of the superman". It predated the dc one and one of superman's creators worked on it.
there's only really two uses for a camera like that, either wanting to spy on someone or thinking of different food combinations and seeing how they would turn out so you don't have to waste ingredients
My thoughts of use cases for a such a camera would be either for shitposting (think photoshopping Obama giving himself a medal without having to use photoshop) or if you're me who still sucks at drawing and your art doesn't come out the way you thought of it in your head.
You still would not be able to taste it
I just thought of a much darker use case for this camera that would ruin everything. Someone could use it to frame Superman (take a picture of some thugs robbing a bank and just think of Supes leading the charge) and if these devices are wide spread, then nobody would trust digital pictures anymore.
@@arkhamslayer7265 i like this idea a hell of a lot ngl
@@arkhamslayer7265 like someone deepfaking superman doing evil things but to the point where it'd be indistinguishable lol
There are the issues of Superman's girlfriend: Lois Lane, and then there are the issues of Superman's girlfriend: Lois Lane.
This is literally the reverse genders meme of "he must be thinking of other girls" and the guy is just thinking about something basic like math.
Yeah, take THAT, 70’s Romance Comics!
Phill: She must be thinking of Superman
Louis: why is this camera soo weird?
I can't see how Superman can avoid thinking he's at least somewhat responsible for Phil's death. Also, Phil's involuntary abduction via tornado.
For a moment I thought this was going to be a video about Supes getting with Lois' husband.
Same
Yes. Disappointed. ☹️
I would have loved that tbh😔
Finally, the plot we deserve
If Clark is picking out a husband for Lois I'm surprised he didn't pick a handsome alien criminal that was always saving Lois from danger, considering that that's kind of what Clark does himself. i mean, it is the re4ason she finds Superman so attractive, right?
nah man, its his tight costume and those red trunks. That'll make lois fall to her knees faster than superman exposed to kryptonite.
I do like the take of Phil having insecurities considering his reputation and matching with Lois who previously dated Superman of all men. Would've worked well I feel like you said if Superman took a more active role in their relationship in say saving them from a dilemma reaffirming his stance that he cannot be with Lois whilst recognising his interference was inadvertently ruining the relationship.
As for the camera is feels like I guess it could be used for asking participants to take photos of certain scenes to get a better understanding of people in say therapy or for physiologically distressed people. Depending on how intracute the image is maybe for sick people it could be used after showing patients an x-ray of a human body to show where the issue pertains to the body and help doctors to carry out more accurate diagnosis like that Black Mirror episode (ignoring the masochist part).
This is the comic book equivalent of the “when your wife’s boyfriend comes home with Chipotle” meme
I like the idea of Phil being Lois's bitter ex who she broke up with because of Superman and then she marries Clark Kent so Phil is angrier
Of course Superman would pick Steve Rogers' doppelgänger for Lois.
Guys named Steve always seem to crash and burn!
Steve Rogers
Steve Trevor
Steve Austin
And now, THIS GUY!
Stranger still, Batman has crashed many a car, and plane. He wants to be a Steve SO BAD!!! 😝
Adrenaline X sounds an awful lot like the stuff “Gotham” and “Gotham Girl” took to get superpowers in Tom King’s Batman run.
Superman's finally found his ture calling of being a human Bumble.
The real question: when are we getting Into the Loisverse?
I'm choosing to believe that the man finding supercomputer in the Fortress is a sign that bronze age superman is actually a bi icon don't @ me
I feel like a camera that makes photos of anything you can think of is something a lot of people would want. The main limitation of photography is that you can only capture images of things that actually exist. So this would be the convenience of a camera with the unlimited imagination of an illustration.
"Don't move until I've had a look at you... I need to determine if you're handsome enough to help."
The moral of the story is that communication is key to a healthy relationship.
Dear, Superman,
Haven’t you learned by now, once you go Lois Lane, expect the emotional pain!
Also,Purple Rage? No way 1973 Prince would have anything to say about that!
ALSO also, did Batman not have a similar match~maker computer in the Batcave? Gotham Sirens beware!
Friggin’ judgmental lil’ old ladies on park benches! I’d like to take THEIR picture with that special camera! Grrrrrrrrr……
A few weeks back I read DC comics presents 32.
Since then, I've been desperate for Sasha to do a video on it....
It's so right up her street..
@@lucywillis4535 what happens in it?
@@ProjektTaku Eros/Cupid fires arrows at superman and wonder woman that make them fall in love....
@@lucywillis4535 oh...my...god. Although, I do like superman x wonder woman so...
I could just imagine Grant Morrison latching onto Phil and retconning him into the present where Lois' passion for him is reignited and threatens her relationship with Clark.
Ok that ending was….abrupt. I was all in the antics and then boom he’s dead lol
I'm one of those people who think the Bronze Age started before 1973. Specifically, I think it started with the Spider-man anti-drug comic that prompted the Comics Code revisal. I should really read more Bronze Age comics since I think we're in a sort of Neo-Bronze Age right now. That and I love it when goofy ideas are presented entirely seriously. In fanfic circles, that's called "Crack Treated Seriously" and it leads to a lot of interesting stories.
That "Who'd ya kill, Lois?" bit was awesome lol
Idkw, but with every new entry on this playlist I feel sadder we didn't see Zack Snyder fry Lois.
If Philip was a modern character, he’d have an anxiety diagnosis and appropriate prescription medication. I doubt he’d go full mad scientist quite so quickly in that case.
Especially with the warnings on the Rx about mixing with home-lab-made formulas.
Truly tragic, 6:09 His turtleneck and bellbottom game was on point.
I totally get wanting to read aloud "choke". When I read the early Spiderman Masterworks I always read the "Oohh" of everytime Spidey got knocked out dramatically.
I like the makeup. Although my favorite part is your hair; it's always on point!
Phillip really does seem like a really good character, a regular Green Goblin type, but without the Jeckell and hyde angle.
I was just happy Lois finally had shoulder length hair.
Your hair is amazing Sasha! Keep up your great style
I don't think the eye make up is bad, but I also don't think it was meant for someone wearing glasses. The line over your left eye is below the frame but the other line is behind or over the frame. It is just kind of distracting.
General rule, Sasha: if Maisie Williams goes there, don't follow!
"I'm worried about Phil." And that, friends and neighbors, is why I love our Sasha.
Thank you for your videos Sacha. You are the best content creator on CZcams. I'm so happy that comics are mainstream now I hope it lasts forever
Has anyone else done a tier list of Lois suitors?
I bought just about everything Superman related as a kid -- Action Comcis, Superman, Superboy, Supergirl, World's Finest, Jimmy Olsen, and, of course, Lois Lane. But I was probably a bigger fan of the Rose & the Thorn back up in Lois Lane. Sadly, this issue was missing that feature. I think this was towards the end of the Lois Lane series, and R&T was missing from the few final issues.
Clark picking Lois's husband for her? Well, it was only a matter of time... Also I'm sure he wouldn't have to try too hard. It is Lois, after all.
database: *searches for all handsome and super powered men in the universe*
Credible reason to want the camera: I could make fantastic comic book art, instantaneously just by thinking about it. I could literally have a picture of anything. Honestly, sounds pretty neat 🤔 But mainly the comic art thing, that is what I would use it for lmao
Phil deserves to return, there's been enough universe resets for him to be alive again. It would also be a fun challenge for Superman to face a bunch of really strong folk but also make sure they don't overexert themselves as he fights them.
I'm pretty sure he could end it in just one punch, man.
@@ProjektTaku you would probably have to alter how adrenaline X works a little so it gives them the various defensive buffs almost every character with superstrength seems to just get for free but the challenge wouldn't be them being dangerous to Superman but that they'd kill themselves trying to hurt him.
@@justanotherglorpsdaymornin5097 I'm mean I guess, but superman could just bonk them on the head and then their unconscious.
Or dead.
You look beautiful Sasha! Thank you for the information on the transition from the Silver Age to the Bronze Age.
Hot take: the camera actually shows what the person whose picture is being taken, is thinking about.
Also: the match maker matched Phil... but not to Lois...
I’m of an age where having a picture of what I was thinking would come in handy to let me know what I went upstairs/ downstairs for.
That camera has so much potential.
Just think what it would do for any sort of professional photography job (outside of news photography where it starts to be something that a Batman villain would have).
I believe there are enough Lois Lane stories to make three Silver Age and two Bronze Age omnibus.
What are you waiting for, DC ?? 😀✌️
Wow! Not even making it to the wedding this time.
A _camera_ for taking _thought-selfies._ 😊
Just now realized. Think it’s one of the inspirations for SCP-978, the Desire Camera?
Why didn’t Superman use that computer to hook Jimmy up? Some “best friend” he turned out to be.
To be fair, it only has the details of "eligible bachelors". 😁
I love the twist with the camera because instead of making me think about how she saw Phil's face at the end, instead of thinking of all the times she was thinking about Supes during her dates with him. FOCUS, Lois, FOCUS, lol
It's so angsty, you're right. He could come back in modern comics.
Philip wouldn't be a proper comic book scientist if he didn't test his new formula on himself.
CK “ Darn You Bruce, Why did You have to give me that Super Computer, Now I found The Love Of My Life a New Love SOB CHOKE” Bruce 🙄”Really Clark Really “😤. The Most Obvious Use for the camera is what the Irredeemable Ant Man would use it for …PERVING…Can’t Keep The Silver Age Innocence/Shenanigans for ever 😢 Keep Up The Outstanding Work Sasha 🖖🏾
"His Name is... Samson!" The Incredible Hulk vol. 2 #141 (July 1971) is great story about a superhero romance on the rocks involving a 3rd.
If they choke was not to be read out
they shouldn’t have made it so funny to do so!
Also Lois is kicking butt in her 70’s lady boss pant suit
Why would someone want a camera that takes a picture of what the photographer is thinking? For an artist, so they could clearly reference the (possibly vague) idea in their head after taking a picture of it!
What would I do with that camera? I don't know, but now I have browser history jokes going through my mind. Thanks Dr. Capaldi.
I would point the camera at myself, like I'm taking an old-school selfie. Of course, I'd be REALLY pointing the special lens at the person in front of me. No more misunderstandings, easier negotiations, better success choosing a pickup line, etc. Of course, it would mean people around me thinking I'm a narcissist.
Don't forget about the DC round robin voting on Tuesday, April 18.
So we're not talking about how Supes is a monster for creating a tornado to drag a man out of his skyscraper lab, haul him across town, and dump him onto a car in the streets below. Guy lived, but that just makes the murder charge reduced to kidnapping and assault.
1:21-1:37 I only noticed your eye makeup when you pointed it out.
I read the thumbnail and thought Superman picked Lois' husband instead of her lol
Did Superman invent Grindr? Like why does he have those punchcards?
I argue the silver age starts when prices change from 15 to 20 cents.
(Late to the party, but I think your eye makeup looked lovely.)
I would use the camera to get reference pictures for my art like just have someone pose for me and then I've got all the features I want
"eyes lookin' better than Lois Lane's love life" LOL.
Since you brought up the eye makeup (which I noticed right away, so thank you for explaining), may I ask how you got your scar?
Before even watching the video, I wanted to point out that the thumbnail makes it look like she's with Aquaman, and the thought of Supes being despondent about *that* idea is hilarious to me for some reason.
Ohhhhhh.... Cary Bates wrote this. Well that explains everything!
I think Lex is right, Superman can potentially play god whenever he wants. He played matchmaker before.
I'd definitely use the camera to make some art so that the ideas I have in my head can finally be translated EXACTLY as I imagine them on paper/digital.
We need the Lois lane ex T-shirt again. My T-shirt got destroyed😢. I loved that t-shirt.
I know no one cares, but growing up I had access to my Uncle's HUGE Collection of Comics from 1941 to 1964. Mostly DC, but some Timely and Independents. Because of the lack of Super Heroes in some years he had a pretty good amount of Lois Lane Comics. I always liked the Lois vs. Lana ones, in fact, I was team Lana all the way until the Teri Hatcher days finally got me to switch to Team Lois. Sorry Margot Kidder. Part of it was she was a smoker. The short hairstyle on Lois never did it for me! Plus, Lana always seemed more wholesome to me. Anyway, some of these Lois marriage ones were okay, some were stupid.
Yellow with Fear, Green with Envy, Purplue with Rage.
What's next, English Lexicon? "Turquoise with Bewilderment"?
I like the eyes, and the hair!
I have no idea how I would possibly use the camera. My brain is a nightmare trapped in an Edward Nashton, bodyguarded by multiple axolotls. If I even so much as touch it, then it would explode in a fiery inferno.
Agent Simon Cross in Superman Family was another in the late Lois tales that dies early- it was a trend
Poor Phil, he needs to talk to someone about those insecurities. Well, not anymore since he's dead and all. Not that that's ever stopped anyone in the DC Universe.
Snap pics of my thoughts?
That would save me a bundle on Art commissions.
Damn! I was really hoping Superman was showing up in the pictures because he was super speeding in the way and wanted Lois to miss him.
Adrenaline X? Sounds like Phillip may have accidentally laid the groundwork for some of the villains Batman fights-or at least one of them.
The camera that lois' other boy friends use to collect the pictures for their 'lois room'....
