I was denied holidays from my part time job where I worked from June 2015 I'm still working there. When I started i asked a manager about time off I was told I don't work enough hours or it would be an inconvenience if I took time off so I gave up asking. In Feb 2022 the new depot manager asked me why I had not requested any holidays I explained to him what I had been told and he said my holiday entitlement was exactly the same as any full time worker. So I took my full holiday 28 days off that year that's 28 x 2 1/2 hours that was the first time Ive taken time off Can I claim for all these other years ?
You can bring a claim against your employer if they have refused to permit you to exercise your right to statutory leave. This means that you would have potential claim under the Working Time Regulations. However your issue could be regarding time limits. Claims for refusal of leave must be made within three months beginning with the date on which the requested leave would have started. Whilst this time limit may be extended if the employment tribunal is satisfied that it was not reasonably practicable to make the claim within the time limit it is not an easy argument to win.
Hi, could you attach the link to the form you're talking at the beginning of the video to let ACAS know about the problem that I have with the agency I'm working with??
Hi there, hope you're doing well. About a month ago when I was cutting a wooden board with a grinder, the grinder jumped and cut my lower leg so I had a surgery done. Doctors cut my knee and placed a nail inside my lower leg with 4 pins. I just find out the person who I was working for has no insurance or a company. Do u think if I can make a claim against him?
Hi sorry to hear what has happened. It sounds as though you may have a personal injury claim. This is outside of our expertise. There are however lots of solicitors who will assess the case at no cost. Try searching the law society here: solicitors.lawsociety.org.uk/ for a specialist in this area.
How do you work out how much compensation you are entitled too? I have just been dismissed from my job. I was suspended for 10 months during that time I suffered with depression my marriage brokedown then I had a heart attack caused by the stress of everything. Can this be included in a claim?
Hi Ray Thank you for your comment. I am sorry to hear what has happened. The amount of compensation you can claim depends on the type of claim you are making. If it is for unfair dismissal only it is usually only loss of earnings, with a few other elements. If you are claiming discrimination as well you can be compensated for injury to feelings. Given what you have said happened and the serious consequences you have suffered I recommend that you consider speaking to a Personal Injury Solicitor as you may also be able to claim for personal injury compensation. If you want to chat through about your employment claims then one of my Team will be happy to speak to you. We offer an initial free telephone call which you can arrange by phoning our head office on 01983 897003 or sending an email to kathy@realemploymentlawadvice.co.uk. Best regards Alison
Awesome thank you!
You're welcome!
What is the maximum settlement. I am not interested in a settlement unless it is in the millions. I'd prefer to get the story out.

How much would a solicitor charge for this kind of case?
