    You kind of hope your kid's schoolbus driver is not pushing the turbo to 150,000rpm.

    I watched the show where Holset had to pay private investigators to find the knockoff companies in China and had to get one of the alphabet agencies to let China give Holset investigators the permission to raid and shut down the knockoff Chinese companies.

    No problem! I used to get the two confused all the time, so I became pretty good at differentiating the two.

    a turbo for a bus should never reach them speeds in operation, unless its a really small engined bus say, less than 4.0L. But even so its not hard to reach high turbo speeds in normal use

    People, its enough that a hose somewhere down the line pops and the turbo can easily overrev.

    Not really possible, as companies such as Cummins Turbo Technologies fully test and develop their turbochargers to ensure there durability and safety in operation these things cost money. Counterfeiters do not care about any of these things, nor do they have to develop and design the turbocharger as they simply copy using sub-standard materials and tollerences

    lol!! this video made me laugh, not at holset just the video and how they say its life threatening.. do you plan on putting a school bus on a dyno and standing around the engine while the turbos explode?

  • @wersuss
    @wersuss Před 10 lety +1

    Turbo is dangerous at high speeds

  • @whatyousaidbud
    @whatyousaidbud Před 11 lety +1

    if that turbo exploded while being used on a bus, the bus would surely already be do the speed of sound to get the turbo spinning that fast!! unless it was in neutral but then who would be near an engine revving that hard?!?
