Hi! Just got back from a back to back 21 day cruise to the Panama Canal and Southern Caribbean on the Holland America Rotterdam😊! Had a great time on that beautiful ship! We were a little concerned about having and interior cabin for that length of time however we thought since the trip was so port intensive, we could handle it. The extra sea days due to weather definitely tested our theory.🚢

Wooohoooo embarkation day is the Best! So much excitement-the ship to explore, your stateroom to check out, dining, shows, what a fantastic whirlwind of sights, smells and sound! We get to see Mr Canuck's pursuit of chicken nuggets, and I'm sure his iconic meatloaf quest! Mrs Canuck seeing the music and girls dancing-join right in, that would be me! What fun! Love it! The dress is definitely not mauve. It's periwinkle for sure, and absolutely beautiful! BTW, for those who are not aware, periwinkle is a cross between blue and purple.

I have been watching the videos 3 and 4 times trying to find the secret letter. I'm jealous that you are on a cruise for 22 days. We did an 11 day back in February and I miss it. I cant book one until Late 2024 depending on my upcoming job situation. I hope that our paths cross on a cruise in the future - Enjoy the cruises!!

Just got back from a Mediterrean cruise on nov 22nd..left the USA on November 5th....ive never been a plane longer than 5 hrs so coming home after 14hrs of flying, never again unless I can fly 1st class, lol....I am now in bed sick, been sick since we got back...Safe travels...
With so many port days, drinks package would not be worth it for us. Better to grab a local beer/ sangria / whatever in each port, experience local flavour and support local economy

Howdy folks, nice seeing you again. Now that you are fresh off 3 recent cruises with Holland America, MSC and Princess. How would you rate them in pecking order? I envision your response will be, "Oh they are all nice and have their own individual tastes, etc etc" LOL. But, would love to know the order as in Good, Better and Best cruise line. For the right price we gladly cruise all of them again. We love nightly entertainment so with that being said the order would be Princess, HAL then MSC.
Well, finally get to see Day one aboard the Enchanted Princess. Like pizza. Went to Salty Dog once. Prosecco is very good. Yay, he got it open. You both look somewhat red on your face and forehead. Should wear a hat to protect yourselves. Don't remember snacks being out. Don't like those stairs. Baked Potato Soup looks interesting. Chardonnay could be a good wine. I like a Chardonnay from Long Island. No, not late. Action should be heating up in the casino. Fish is very good. Finally, the Embarkation Day showed up. Haven't been on Holland America for a while. Do want to go on another Holland America trip. They are part of the Carnival Corporation. France really isn't a good place.
Me again! The pain in the butt GF gal. So I do best when I have the same table, same waiter each night, with my Gluten allergy. The first night is rough and usually get salad with grilled chicken (which I've grown to hate), but then they slowly get into the swing of things and start bringing me better and better options as the cruise goes on. So my question is, the Enchanted Princess has so many dining options, how does that work? Do you go on the app, and preselect your dining each night? We cruise with 10 people so I'm trying to wrap my brain around this. We don't care for specialty dining and paying extra, it just doesn't work for our large group. We just want a great meal at the same table every night so we can get to the fabulous entertainment. How would our large group do on the Enchanged Princess? We are looking at booking a 10 day Eastern Carribean cruise.
You can book a main dining room restaurant on your app. To book for your whole group, you need to enter everyone's booking number. You can also call Princess's 1 800 number and a staff can do it for you. Again you still need the booking number of your whole group for that to work.
Looked like a great embarkation day. How did you make out without the beverage package on this cruise? We’re not huge drinkers, but always get the beverage package because when we’re on a ship, it’s a treat being able to get a drink whenever we want.
We have a embarkation day. We were mindful of ordering drinks and trying to find the balance between enjoying ourselves and keeping to a budget. More on that in the upcoming vlogs.
Two questions....1)can you share where you ordered your cabin magnet sign from and the size of it 2)would love to know where Jill purchases her dresses!
We ordered our magnet from Vista print. It is 9 by 12 inches. Mrs.Canuck can be found shopping at any sales rake for dresses. Her favourite place in the US is Ross dress for less. In Canada Winners.
I'm curious why you wouldn't send back that poor cut of meat? They would have been happy to replace it with a new dinner. One-offs can happen where a piece is just not up to par. We have just booked a cruise on the Enchanted...but it won't happen til 2025. Looking forward to seeing more of the ship and how you're going to keep busy for all these days.
For sure they would have replaced the meal and apologized. However, Mr. Canuck is not a big fan of meat, so he enjoyed the veggies more. Plus there's lots of food around the ship and we won't go hungry over one little piece of meat. Hopefully the 22-day vlog series will give you lots of hints on what to experience onboard the Enchanted Princess for your cruise!
Dude! Quit talking about chicken nuggets. I'm gluten free (Not by choice) and because of American's obsession with chicken nuggets I can't eat french fries anywhere because of cross contamination. So I enjoy your videos but if you mention chicken nuggets one more time!!!! augh
It would be interesting to ask the cruise ships if they cook their fries in a dedicated fryer without cross-contamination. Some places like Honest Burger in the UK and British MacDonald's boast no cross-contamination for those with celiac disease. Cruise lines are usually really good at accommodating food allergies.
I do everywhere I go. I have to ask a ton of questions before I can eat anything and due to the language barrier on each ship, sometimes it takes me half and hour or more to get a lunch meal, meanwhile the others in my group have already eatten. I've noticed that most cruise ships have tons of well labelled Vegan options everywhere but they are not doing the same for Gluten Free. Here's the difference- Vegan is a choice!! You will not get sick all night long if you accidentally eat butter. I do not have a choice with Gluten Free and I have to be very careful. So far Carnival has done the best job of labelling GF options. I just returned from Holland America and I was exhaused trying to find GF options for lunch each day. I got passed from person to person and had to wait a really long time to get food. It sucks. Sorry to pick on you and your funny comments about chicken nuggets. I've been Gluten Free for 8 years now, I feel so much better, but I've grown to hate chicken nuggets because they are the reason I can't eat fried foods in 99% of most restaurants. Cruise ships do not do a good job of accommidating us. @@CruisingCanucks

We were very happy with the space of the interior cabin. We had lots of storage for all our 22 days worth of stuff. It was a great embarkation day!
