I remember listening to the cd as a kid a lot. This is some crazy music history that I’m old enough to remember, but it took me until now to see how special of a moment it really was. Unique stuff
What an idea, throwing Jay-Z on stage with Linkin Park and having him drop some verses right in the middle of their songs. And look at how it turned out. That is some true musical genius right there, hearing two types of music and just splicing them into something awesome like this.
I'm telling you the reason these came out beautifully was because of Mike. He WAS the hiphop of LP so this chance he took no shortcuts he made these a work of art. You don't work with Jay-Z and not make magic.
Concept of putting Jay Z + Linkin Park's creative minds together was pure lyrical genuis. Two polar opposite styles of music combined created a concert & album that resonated & influenced the hearts of people from all viewpoints & walks of life.
Figures it would take Jay-Z and Linkin Park to prove just how many light years above the rest they are when it comes to rap metal. When you see greatness, it's hard to ignore it.
I like Faint and Jigga what the most. For it goes: Jigga What/Faint Numb/Encore Dirt off your shoulder/Lying From You 99 problems/Points of authority/One step closer Big pimping/ Papercut In the end/Izzo All of that being my favorite to least favorite
Angels screaming, rappers collaborating, original music, insane guitar riffs, drummer on fire, too much bass to take. Killed everything in it's way. What composition! Linkin Park is magic and Jay Z made it better I guess
Chester is the example of the best of melody and also the perfect scream RIP bro you helped me through alot from the beginning wish I could have helped you and returned the favor
Whether you like it or not, Jay Z has been heavily involved in the rock scene, more than you'd think. From using classic rock samples in his songs, to collaborating with rock bands, and even having a backing band with REAL instruments perform his songs with him. Hell, him and his backing band played the "Back in Black" intro when doing a live performance of "99 Problems." The man has a diverse musical taste. As a massive classic rock fan, Jay has become one of my favorite artists to listen to.
This song is sooo dope. If i could have been at one concert in my life it definitely would have been this one. That crowd was blessed. Long live Jay z and RIP Chester
LP is the best band EVER! Chester voice 1 of a kind! Mike is a musical genius, and rest of the band fit In perfectly! Never again will we see a band that can make a different sounding album every time, and kill it, every time! #Makechesterproud #FUCKDEPRESSION
chester was the best didnt appreciate it until he was gone used to bang to this song in my 20s when days were fuzzy and memory was selective but this is one of my favorites of all time only revisited it lately during tough times in my life
LP screened people in their fan club to see which members were also fans of rap and Jay-Z, they invited them to a 'secret' show where they didn't know what was going to happen. So everyone who was there was probably excited.
This one blew me and my friends out of the water back in 2004. Still got the DVD @home. Perfect executed collab. Now with 36 years still pumping it through the Speakers
This whole jayz and lp collab is fire
i knoiw, right? i've been listening all of those videos as long as i remember listening to linkin park.
yeah. i have this dvd
Facts

🔥🔥🔥
It’s always kind of funny to me how Chester goes straight from screaming his lungs out to saying “thank you” in the sweetest voice
Literal example of scream like a demon and sing/speak like an angel.
The fuck with that scream! His voice's really unreal :o
According to Chester he always has a boner when he's on the stage.
LMFAO
kurt cobain holy fuck that scream
😂
Exactly Jay-Z’s reaction at the end of Points/99/OSC.
Decade later & this is still the best collaboration in history.
RIP Chester ✊
jay-z walks in like a boss
Geoorg100
He is
Cuz he fucking is.
"o boy"
HE is THE BOSS
Imagine being there, not knowing what was about to happen.
This won a grammy.

its not throwing they planned and did an album,.. way too ahead for generations !
Run DMC - Aerosmith formula.
thats chester back in the day

Khromatique - cosign. Mike could rap his ass of and real recognize real. imo, his verses in High Voltage is some 5 star JayZ quality lyracism
I never respected as a teenager how epic this collab was. I know now.
Concept of putting Jay Z + Linkin Park's creative minds together was pure lyrical genuis. Two polar opposite styles of music combined created a concert & album that resonated & influenced the hearts of people from all viewpoints & walks of life.
hell yeah it did!
MTV
They’re really not polar opposite to be honest. LP was very much rap influenced.
Mike is a genius.
Linkin Park is a Rap Rock band
WHAT A FUCKING MASTERPIECE!!!!
Indeed!

yummy041496 now he be killing himself
Ggrrummpys Tunnel fuckhead
Eh, people will come around eventually. They did for 9/11 and the death of Diana so they'll do it for Chester. I'm just ahead of the curve.
Ggrrummpys Tunnel As sad as it is, you're right. Oh well, thanks for the laugh.
100%
Most people go to their calming stuff to relax but these screams melt my problems 😂
Chester is just built different, its own league.
This song perfectly personifies my music taste.. what a beautiful collab.
wow i cant believe this collabo is already over a decade old, i feel old already :D
14 years & rising! :-D
Linkin Park and Jay-Z still THE BEST❤
19 years. Are you still here?😊
This fire made love to my ears.
this chester guy must've sold his soul to satan for this voice, just too unreal this is live....
Mister Pink i agree u from bottom of my heart.
Nope if he did, MTV would've been playing a lot of their songs
@@mrskid5010 keep it real
Call that devil "depression" and you are very right.
Damn it, why did it have to go that way...
He's an angel now. Rest in Peace Chester.
I will never forget watching this premier on TV. Quite literally one of the best things I ever saw on TV as a kid.
This is by far their best song... I am not sure why plp prefer "Numb Encore" over this one?
Because numb and encore were both much bigger on their own
For me points of authority+99 problems!!
Good verses are there and last part of Chester is lit🔥🔥
I like Faint and Jigga what the most. For it goes:
Jigga What/Faint
Numb/Encore
Dirt off your shoulder/Lying From You
99 problems/Points of authority/One step closer
Big pimping/ Papercut
In the end/Izzo
All of that being my favorite to least favorite
Does it matter which song people prefer? The entire collab is amazing.
Because this is too loud for the mainstream radio?
At one time I commented on lp negatively and I apologize I saw these guys live man linkin park is amazing!!
They sound perfect live aye!
Jake Graham Fitness agreed :)
+Joseph Snape It takes a lot to admit you were wrong. Welcome to the LP side. lol.

This must have been amazing live.....So much talent. A True performance.
It's so sad. That voice… it makes me believe that everything in the songs was actually a cry for help.
Someone who posts videos sometimes but don't watch them because they're cringy and i hate myself most of the music was written by Mike so no
This shit is 🔥🔥🔥🔥
No turning back now !
I cant help but think how lucky these people in the crowed are, a true once in a lifetime opportunity.
This is the absolute pinnacle of live performance collaborations. Un-fucking-believable.
