Look who is finally back - it's @joljones and we offer up our beauty year in review (late I know but covid and all that). In this video we celebrate Jo finally being let out of the plague house and chat through our best buys of last year.

completed by the incredible skills of makeup artist extraordinaire @diane.kendal . The bronzers are 726 or 727 and the stiletto lip stick is Au Bout and the red lipstick is Original.
Skincare launches for all skins
@aveenouk Calm + Restore not new to those of you in the US but much anticipated and welcomed by those of us in the UK.
@larocheposay Toleriance Dermallergo line extention into their moisturiser - just perfect for all sensitive and dry skins.
@jonesroadbeauty Miracle Balm in all shades but in this video Jo uses the Tawny. I call this the Marmite launch of the year.
@lancomeofficial Teint Idole Ultrawear All Over - for concealer of the year.
@cureluk Foaming Face Wash beloved by Jo and her two daughters - I prefer the Cleansing Gel - all of the range is brilliant, ceramides based and unfragranced.
@armanibeauty Lip Power in shade 106 but all are fab for best nourishing lip colour of the year
@maccosmeticsuk Love Me Liquid Lip in Laissez Faire but again all shades are great for best pigment rich non drying liquid lip.
@benefitcosmeticsuk They're Real Magnet Mascara for volumising mascara.
@babyliss Hydro Fusion Dryer and diffuser for saving Jo's hair from heat damage. And the lash growth drops are @eyelashlogic đ

The La Roche Posay Toleriance Dermallergo Cream is amazing and was an absolute life-saver when my skin broke out in rash after reacting to a product. This was so good in calming everything down and help heal my skin back to normal. This is one that I now stock up on.

Great to have the beauty hags back. I agree with Jo about Dyson. I wouldn't buy his products either for the same reasons as you. I bought the T2 hairdryer and love that. Please keep updates and your hair, I have the same problem x

They have alot of new storage solutions (kitchen, office, bathroom, kids room aso) that you might like to do a "store your beauty products and gadgets"-special Aaaand all the "work from home"-desks etc, how they can be used as makeup tables. đ

Ebony wood (old launch )and magnificently Dubai ( new launch) are just stand out perfumes for me well done Zara and jo malone they are just wonderfull. Also a nod to inkey list oat cleanser I love it !

I love both of you. How Jo Jo manages to have such an amazing lashes. I need to know the secret please?
@Jo Get a blood test to check your ferritin levels (stored iron). My hair and eyebrows were falling out and I had a permanent headache for a year. GP kept telling me my blood tests were normal. I ended up seeing an amazing acupuncturist and she checked all of my blood tests for the last few years and said that my ferritin had been too low for too long. Started taking medical grade iron and after a few months my hair and eyebrows started growing back and my head pain started to improve. For an improvement of symptoms I needed to get my ferritin over 100 for a sustained period of time. Talk to your GP about ferritin. Unfortunately my GP didn't seem to understand the complexity of low ferritin, but thankfully I've found an amazing acupuncturist who has really helped. Good luck!

For hair, have your thyroids checked ladies. Seriously. Whole panel. TSH, t3, t4, revere t3 and antibodies. LOTS of people are having worsening hair loss. My derm has seen many clients in the last year with this. Covid? Vaccines? No, I'm not an anti-vaxxer, so don't even bother going there with me. It's a thing.
No only thyroid but also hormones. I didn't get a period for close to 9 months and when I did get a period it was super light. I got the first dose of Moderna vax and the following month, I got a regular period. I didn't think anything of it, but then I got Covid 6 months later and the following month again I got a regular period.

Regard your hair has olaplex stopped working for you? Iâm doing a 6 month continuous usage on my very highlighted hair. Fingers crossed it repairs the damage as Iâve noticed so much thinning to my already fine mid length hair (same age as Jo đ) đ
I hear so many women talking about their hair just falling out/breaking off in the last year or so (and I'm in that camp). I am seriously starting to wonder if the vaccine might have something to do with this. I was watching a Dermatologist Dr. Shereene Idriss here on YT talk about hair loss & she mentioned having CoVid played a part in hers. Just a curious thought is all. Love you both as always đ

Im in Aus - think Rapid antigen test = lateral flow test that you can do at home - PCR is medically administered one
