I don’t want to sound naggy and miserable, however please PLEASE do not use water on your contact lenses, it could lead to acanthamoeba keratitis which is a very serious infection of the front of your eye and can lead to blindness. It’s the main thing not to do with wearing contact lenses. End of the ted talk, thanks 😊

The Aesop Post-Poo Drops are heaven! The clue is in the name though ... dispense them into the pan AFTER you've flushed everything away and it masks any smell brilliantly. Also, NEVER flush with the lid up!!!! Urghhhhhhh!

Thank you ladies for the fun, love you both! I love aqueous cream, I used to wash with it after a boyfriend introduced it to me, I have no idea why I stopped, must get one now that autumn is in full swing. Interestingly, in France all of your beauty products: bottles, containers etc go into the recycling bin.

Poo Pourri is vile. I got some when it first came out, think it was berry scent. It just mingled with the poo smell and it actually smelt like a sickly sweet diarrhoea aroma. Someone I worked with said to me ‘don’t go in the loo it smells like someone has dropped their guts’. Needless to say it went straight in the bin and if I needed a no. 2 at work I had to go to Sainsbury’s on my lunch break lol

Jo, when I was a kid (yonkers ago) we used magnetic soap holders, great invention and you can still buy them - this should solve your ‘gunk’ issue. xx

I have another use for the Aqueous cream besides washing, its with my Intergra Face Care System (microcurrent) being water based it carries the current well, the Elf camo concealer is a good eyeshadow primer too xxx

I have the falsecara lashes, it's the bond that is brilliant and after I used the lashes that came with it I've used other cluster lashes and they work just as well! My set came with an applicator.

I use a silicone sponge called The Squidgy Thing to sit my soap on it keeps it dry and then use it when its soap coated to clean the basin, rinse it and hang it up on a suction hook above to quickly dry. they are such a versatile hygienic sponge including makeup brush cleaner swished through the bristles
Jo, you mentioned that your daughter is getting acne on her chest & bac. When she's washing her hair does she rinse it so the water goes over her body? I suffered the same problem until someone said not to let the water go over me, so now I tip my hair forwards so the water doesn't touch my body when I rinse my hair and I no longer get acne. I love silicone in my hair products but I think my body was having a reaction to them. Your daughter might be the same
If you find you react to the SLS in aqueous cream, Emollin emollient spray is a brilliant alternative. No preservatives or additives and super easy to apply 🙂

Agree with you about soap dishes....try bamboo or wooden slatted ones which keep the soap dry and fresh (like mini pallets)

Aqueous cream is really good as a soap alternative. I have horrific eczema particularly on my legs and it really does keep them soft. I can’t use it as a moisturiser though (I think I react to the SLS) but it’s fine rinsed off and doesn’t strip my skin. The absolute daddy moisturiser I use when my skin is at its worst is Epiderm ointment- massive 500g tub for £9 off amazon. It can also be melted (!!!) and used as a bath additive/oil. I also really like colloidal oatmeal in a bath- stops itching if it’s bad. Love you both xxxx
I had the same issue, but I think a lot of aqueous creams no longer have sls.
Another great video Girlz !! (-: The L'Oreal Elvive Conditioner is the best conditioner I have found, especially for coloured hair. Far better than more expensive brands I have tried., also recommended by several hair salons! Great idea to have 100% recyclable bottles.. Also love the idea of the soap holder baggie, that's very clever. I have also tried soap bars in the shower and they just disintegrate (especially in a smaller compact shower!) - thanks for the tip.. Brilliant as ever, nothing off limits. Surprised you’ve not seen VIPoo in Superdrug or the pond shop? Smells amazing, perfect for those morning after indigestible dinners 😉 when the reef diffusers aren’t cutting it. Perhaps it’s just in ours “oop north”!

Saw a tip a few years ago on how to wash make up brushes. 4 parts Anti-bac washing up liquid and 1 part olive oil. Swish the brushes in the mixture then use hot water and scrub on palm (I use a silicon scrubber thingy). Oil helps draw out makeup. Use a clean towel to squeeze most of the liquid out. Air dry. Job done

If anyone wants to buy Aqueous Cream, it's often in Dealz (poundland in the UK).
Another good one is Hydromol. Use as hand cream, elbows, legs. To break it down, put a spoonful into a cup of hot water and mix.
I have tried a lot of budget stuff like Aqneous and a million others, this is brilliant.
I swear, I have no association with the company.
I was made aware of it by dermatology nurses when I got a really bad skin condition on my hands, which has cleared up, (hopefully).
Hydromol did not cure it (it was the expensive doctor prescribed cream and less stress) but it's a very good product at a very reasonable priced.

There is a Spanish soap called Meieja olive oil my Mom used to use.
What color was that concealer? It looked like it blended well. Was it really hydrating? I have the original Camo concealer and it’s pretty drying on me.
I use LAsion lash serum it has worked amazingly, they always gave sales 2-4-1 .
Nadine try the diega della palma my toy boy mascara , its your type of mascara and it has a lash serum in the mascara . Its amazing , gives lots of volume you will love it !

Can I suggest a silicone brush cleaner to Jo? Any of them, even the cheapest, are doing great job. I was skeptical about those too, but one I've tried - there's no going back XD My mom went exactly the same - from "Nah, what a silly gimmick" to "Buy me one too!"

Lol, I've been putting individuals or Kiss Duo/Trio lashes under my lashes forever. I use the Kiss black glue, think it's latex free? And when I do use them (haven't for a few weeks) I'll leave them on for several days or more at a time, no trouble.
If you put an unused bar of soap into the hot press for a few days before you use it it doesn't 'melt' in the soap dish👍 I don't know how, but it's an old wives tale but it works!

I just joined beauty pie with the trust of Nadine's review and recommendations only to realise that most of their active ingredients lotions and body care products are heavily silicone based. How will the vitamin c penetrate the skin when there is such a high percentage of dimithicone in the lotion?
