@MenTryVideos, with the ANZAC biscuits, the reason for the moist yet thick texture was because the original recipe calls for:
    - rolled oats
    - plain flour
    - sugar
    - melted butter
    - golden syrup
    - boiled water
    - bicarbonate of soda.
Aside from war rationing, it was a means for longevity that made the recipe not call for eggs, which is why the golden syrup is the binding agent. Golden syrup helped it last the long journey to soldiers in France.
Also, with the Freddo Frogs, there's a peppermint flavoured liquid centre that you can get along with the strawberry and, more recently, a popping candy variation.

Freddos were created in the 1930 in Australia by Harry Melbourne an employee of MacRobertson’s confectionary. Were later taken on by Cadburys. Yes they were available in the UK for a few years in 70's but disappeared until mid 90's. Freddo has and always will be originally 100% Australian. Cadbury have factories all over the world, mainly United Kingdom
, Ireland, United States, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, India, Malta and South Africa and as such there are some strictly regional products not produced in other countries. Please do not presume that Cadbury, the brand and manufacturer are exclusive to the UK.

Jaffas - Like Ja -ffah - Short “a” sound
Fantales - Fan - tails - Tales about celebrities for their fans
Minties - We don’t really do many jingles in Australia. Also, singular - Mintie
Retro Party Mix - Pineapples are the best! Milk Bottles are awful
Shapes - We call it Chicken Parmagiana or “Chicken Parma / Parmie”. Australia is a pretty recognisable shape. Tasmania, an island state is “Tassie” LOL
ANZAC Bikkies - We have been in the Boer War, WWI, WWII, Korea, Vietnam and the Gulf Wars. Love them
    Fredddo Frogs - Fred-o
Caramello Koala - Actually, come to think of it, this has a jingle, whoops!!
You have to do a Tim Tam Slam, of course

So, when you guys try the Tim Tams, you need to do a Tim Tam Slam. Get a cup of milky coffee, bite the corner off each end of the Tim Tam, dunk one corner in your coffee and suck the coffee up through the Tim Tam, then put the whole Tim Tam in your mouth and chew.

  • @jayweb51

The 'tassie' is the shape of Tasmania, and island state just south of the Australian mainland. It's a regular joke in Australia, due to the Trademark symbol only has the outline of the Australian mainland; due to Tasmania being disconnected by Bass Strait, it is regularly left off most souvenirs.

What the hell are these Shapes flavours?? Wheres the classics, Pizza, Barbecue and Chicken Crimpy? Also, ANZAC (Australian and New Zealand Army Corps) biscuits were originally sent by the soldiers wives during World War I, because the ingredients didn't spoil easily, and they kept for a long time. Most modern recipes for ANZAC biscuits contain desiccated coconut, but that most likely wasn't an ingredient in the original biscuits. I think whats giving you that 'moist' feeling is probably the golden syrup, as it tends to stay ever so slightly gooey, which is why its such a good binding agent for the rolled oats that form the main part of the biscuit. As a child, we're taught all about ANZAC day while they give us ANZAC biscuits to munch on to keep us entertained. It's one of those things thats a pretty universal experience for kids over the past 20 years or so. Much like when you got 'rewarded' at school, and they would give you a single Minty. Minties are probably the reason why even the smell of mint makes me want to hurl.

And they have no eggs in them. They were sent to the troops during WWI, they would take so long they were make without eggs so they wouldn’t go rancid during the months it would take to get to the battlefields. Some versions are crispy, and others are more chewy.
