if that board had an f row it would be perfect
No F row equals terrible keyboard
PGDN but no PGUP is like HOME but no END or left arrow but no right arrow... It's weird, don't do it, keyboard creators!
I'm always surprised by folks who may complain about keyboard cases being made out of plastic under one video, but at the same time literally spending over $400 for plastic keyboards such as Moonlander, Glove80, and Kinesis 360 😂
Can someone explain to me why more companies don't use VIA compatibility? NO ONE is buying these boards for their proprietary software - and VIA/QMK are open source right? So there's no royalties to pay? What am I missing here? It has to be costing them money to develop their own software. Not to mention they are missing out on many sales I'm sure.
Imagine my surprise when I took apart my $30 keyboard and found it actually had foam in it! It was pretty thin and didn't seem to be doing much so I put in another layer and the difference in the sound is night and day! Thanks to videos from you, Switch and Click, Squashy, and others, I got the confidence to do this very simple mod and it's such a big difference, so thank you! (now I need to lube the stabs and do something about the spacebar..)
Im gonna comment, but ill do it later in this video
Blud can't tell what's a FKL-WKL
Can you mod the screen
So you're telling me that's not aluminum?? wow they really have mastered the aluminum looking plastic 😅
I love the little screen on my Meletrix Zoom75. This may sound silly, but it has a little notepad where I can keep reminders about hotkeys to applications I use and the like, which is huge for my old and senile brain. I also like being able to display my CPU temp when I'm gaming to ensure that I don't have problems with my cooling setup.
My day always gets better when Hipyo Tech posts :)
good job hipyo, very nice video!
Nice video! And it seems like a good enough board.
I am using this keyboard rn. Modded it a little bit. But all I can say is that the switches will determine this keyboards potential since you can't play around it too much since it already has like 70% of the keyboard mods should have and I love it honestly. I can put my Gifs but the software is rly not that good tbh. I hope they'll improve it :)
Today's budget boards run circles around my sorry attempts to build keyboards and for much $$$ less. That said, I have figured out how to make my keyboards work for me (maybe a little bit of sunk cost fallacy). Well, always nice to see things continuing to move forward.
Hi hipyo! your content is great!
I really like the styling on this one. The color scheme and caps are really nice. Tho I need a full-size board.
Usually what I look for in a keyboard is just aesthetics but also durability. You can't imagine the pain of grabbing a fresh new keyboard, only for the keys to start dying after the first month. I can't trust Hyper X for this reason because my friend got me this keyboard and the D key on it is dying, having used A and D for my rhythm game of choice, osu. Now I need a whole new keyboard because Hyper X decided it was a good idea to cut the cost of making the switches actually durable instead of having a decent switch that I can come back to when it finally gives out about 5 years later when I accidentally yank the cable too hard.
Essential for every keyboard for me would be a few programmable layers, the option of a 3-split space-bar and sound versions to choose from or the manufacturer should at least inform buyers about the sound profile (thocky, clicky, clacky, or creamy).
