i can say the same i been making beats on my phone for years no one could tell I'm learning on MacBook starting YESTERDAY and know all the basics but this video saved me hours even days i promise lol
Thanks for this. I'm just trying to learn the basics before getting to the complicated stuff, naturally, and this was a great follow-along tutorial. Cheers, brother! ✊🏾
I look through a lot of producers beats and one thing I've noticed is the simple beats have all sold while the ones that have too much going on don't. A lot of rappers have said that simple beats give them space to rap on and some producers don't think of the rapper when their producing beats.
It was interesting watching, and seeing you going back to dropping drum samples on the original sampler instead of DMD. I started doing the same thing yesterday. DMD is cool, but since I started learning basic beat mixing--the bussing of DMD was messing me up.
The Fairlight CMI (short for Computer Musical Instrument) is a digital synthesizer, sampler, and digital audio workstation introduced in 1979 by Fairlight.
Dope Content! keep up the good work! Just got my macbook and wanted to do beats with logic. On my Computer i use FL Studio for 16 Years now and you're Video helped me a lot! Much love from Germany
I like the way you program your hats. The way you use the brush and then brush notes higher or lower for pitch changes. Is there a way to reproduce this technique using the step sequencer in Logic Pro 10.5 or do you only use the sampler to track your hats with that technique?
I'm a rock & roll guy trying to blend some current beat making and music production into my more prog-related music and songwriting. Can't thank you enough for taking the time to make this video. Peace!
Which size MacBook is that in the background at the beginning? That looks bigger than a 16-inch but 16-inch is the largest size Apple makes. Thanks for this upload.
So cool. But I have no knowledge of music creation but open to learn. I just downloaded Logic Pro X Trial but so lost. I want to make EDM beats. Fav DJ is Eric Prydz. What would you advise me to start learning?
Question, why do sometimes some 808 notes mute, and how do you unmute them, it usually happens with the odd one, and I just found out when I click the note, the volume kinda changes, however that doesn't resolve the problem though, any thoughts?
why does drum machine designer and step sequencer make my kicks so quiet? i am having a hard time getting my kicks to sound the way i want them to. whenever i drag in a kick from my file library straight into logic as an audio file or in ultrabeat, it KNOCKS as it should. however, whenever i drag in a kick into the drum machine designer, step sequencer, or sampler, it is significantly quieter. what am i doing wrong? i don't want to add EQ or compressors because the way it sounds by default is already good.
Cubase is 40% off at mo. Is this worth getting and also any of the samples or loops any good, or are they thin and not thick sounds.. cubase looks very complicated to use though.
quick question i know this video old but do you still have the bolo drum kit you talking about in this video ? just trying to restock my closet if not its cool maybe you got somthin for sale? im going over all your videos now the ones i can understand at least....lmfao
Learned more in 15 minutes from you than hours of other dudes tutorials. Thanks!

No pointless intro, just fire in the making. Subbed.

I had to learn that good solid simple beats are what artists look for and that sells lol
@CALICOTV301 lol 💯
Seriously though I have been always making experimental beats but I now I’m trying to dumb them down
@CALICOTV301 i agree with u in all points imo that hasnt to do with creativity anymore

I love this take but I definitely need some Ruth Chris 😭😭
Exactly what I was looking for! Just wanted to watch someone make something quick and simple.

Guess we’re here for the same reason 😅

Your videos are really helpful. Is there any reason why you don’t use the step sequencer in building out your drum pattern?
💯💯

Do I have to download the thing you used to get the melody or that comes with Logic Pro x? Also do I Need a keyboard for that
Good video..how bout a video connecting or mapping midi keyboard to logic pro?
Doesn't logic, map the midi keyboard by itself?
So cool. But I have no knowledge of music creation but open to learn. I just downloaded Logic Pro X Trial but so lost. I want to make EDM beats. Fav DJ is Eric Prydz. What would you advise me to start learning?
A Forest Whitaker Logic Special...Bo-Lo...When's the next one up?
Question, why do sometimes some 808 notes mute, and how do you unmute them, it usually happens with the odd one, and I just found out when I click the note, the volume kinda changes, however that doesn't resolve the problem though, any thoughts?
Bolo please do a video on serato studio since there is a free version of it

Ok let’s do this. I suck at beats. I hope you can bless me with some skills
Cubase is 40% off at mo. Is this worth getting and also any of the samples or loops any good, or are they thin and not thick sounds.. cubase looks very complicated to use though.
I used Cubase years ago still a great program!
Cheers. I hit the like button 3x lol
Hey brotha do you have those files that we could download with all the kicks, 808s, claps, Snares all that fun stuff
The goat! How do you do the screen share?
Busted!!! You skipped intro 😂 I mentioned what I use in beginning of video sir...
Bolo Da Producer lmao. He’s not a fan bro
Your videos are fire
wow is Logic pro this intuitive? Which do you prefer, Logic pro or MPC2 software in terms of making beats?
Do you make beats with any live drum sounds? I’m just curious.
Depending on what style you're after. To blend live sounds with electronic sounds is a great way to do.
Music Nerd Revolution I know I do it but I’m curious if Bolo does. It would be great to see a tutorial like that.
Nah dont think so he makes trap
What the best recording software pro tools, logic, prosonus 5, ect
yo can you tell me how to even get to the CMI V? can't find the Arturia collection anywhere
Hopefully you see this but is there a reason you don’t use the Drum machine designer?
Is your 2020 beat back available for BeatMaker 3 Bolo?
How did you get the CMIV I cant find it in logic. Is that a stock plug in?
Not stock, it part of the Arturia collection
@@BoloDaProducer thank you bolo! Lot of wisdom I could learn from you. Love your youtube
are those plug-ins stock with logic pro ?
Is Logic easier then ProTools (learning curve)?
Neither is better then the other, once you learn to workflow
Pretty chill. Give me Lil Uzi vibes
But bro , how are you not clipping? What did you add
bruh have you ever listened to lil uzi vert before
quick question i know this video old but do you still have the bolo drum kit you talking about in this video ? just trying to restock my closet if not its cool maybe you got somthin for sale? im going over all your videos now the ones i can understand at least....lmfao
u made this look way too easy 😂
anyone know how he shifted the 808 bass down 2 octaves like that? is it a shortkey to doing it I assume? TIA
highlight the notes, hold opt+shift and press down button
How to get the CMIV on Logic if I don't have it?
Just showed me another better way I been using ultra beat
