    Did taking out the baffles make the turbo louder?

    In this video do you have a turbo back exhaust or cat back?

    Did you notice a difference?? Any more turbo noise?

      did feel like the truck was breathing better after this and did notice a louder turbo sound, but I also removed the silencer ring at the same time so I cant be sure if it was just that.

    2 new silicon 90° couplers and a piece of PVC pipe + a can of flat black paint.
    The ends of the silencer can and factory couplers have restrictions.
    Turbos love less restriction and turbulent air flow

    Did you notice any mpg difference or any other performance difference after you did this? And I'm curious if you also added a high flow drop in filter?

      We did notice a 4 mpg increase! Also it does have a K&N drop in that was there before everything was modified.

    I don’t see how what you did makes that a cold air intake cause you’re still getting your air from inside the engine compartment

    • @modifyd2518
      @modifyd2518  Před 3 lety +4

      Actually this mod is better than a Cheap generic auto part store cai that is open in the engine bay because it looses all the restrictions from inside the elbow but still draws air from through the fender (like from the factory).

    • @danyoder3534
      @danyoder3534 Před 3 lety

      Bullshit your still sucking hot air from inside the engine compartment there for not a cold air intake

    • @modifyd2518
      @modifyd2518  Před 3 lety +8

      @@danyoder3534 interesting, since I'm still utilizing the factory air box that is completely sealed except for the opening through the fender. After market high end cai such as afe, s&b and banks cai use the same method (The hole/opening in your inner fender) to draw air. If i were to delete the factory box all together and put on just a cone filter with no shrouding or anything separating it from the rest of the engine bay then your above statement would be correct.
