I've been looking for a solution to this all day. All information available on the web says olive oil AND soy sauce, obviously you've proved there is no need for the soy sauce. Thanks.

I tried this just a few days ago, i set a bowl on each side of my front door. I set the oil bowls out Saturday night and as of Tuesday morning I counted about 40 earwigs in each bowl.

You can also mix water with dish soap and pour it around the base of your house and doorstep. It kills them pretty much a couple seconds after contact.

IT WORKS... I just set out one on my front porch and was surprised when I saw it had several in it very quick. I was surprised, happy and disqusted, all at the same time lol. I added a few tiny drops of honey to the good, expensive olive oil. It's worth every cent🐜Thanks so much

I just had one of these f'ing things crawl onto my neck as I'm sitting in my living room at my desk. While on a Zoom meeting at work earlier today one bit my arm. Killed several in my bedroom by the cat's dishes around noon (I have a clean apt and do NOT have food laying around anywhere, the cat vacuums his food in a couple mins). Went to pee last night and while standing there looked around and saw 3 of the things. Every fricking summer they just invade my apartment. My back door needs some weather stripping on it but I doubt that'll really solve much. Gonna try this trap, otherwise I get closer to burning this mother scratcher down every day.

I heard vegetable/olive oil is the best thing to use to trap these things. So are they attracted to it? and then once they get in, they can't get out?? There seems to be a lot of them this year. Outside my basement door at night, there's tons of them! I'm trying my best but they're getting in somehow. They're crawling up along my house. I'm finding them in my bathrooms, my bedroom, on my living room ceiling... EVERYWHERE! I've been using sticky traps and spraying Windex around, that's helped a bit, but maybe I should try the olive oil - put some outside my doors and around the house.. and maybe in the house??
