- Well the hot action continues! The stream was filled with caddis flies and the hatch must be on! 40+ to hand here. Several tip segments here on casting and Schmidtee lures. A driftless trifecta - brook, brown and tiger trout to hand. Not as timber oriented today, but plenty of nice fat, healthy browns were the star of the show. Probably 10+ brookies. 1 Tiger. Tons of fun! Happy fishing!!

Love your lures - get some if you can people!! I loved them so much I am starting to make my own - again, thanks for all your help, tips etc in helping with getting me setup! Still need to make some for the season.
Thanks and happy lure making!
What a wonderful day of fishing! just catching 7 of them trouts is already a solid day for me. Need to get some of those Schmidtee lures to have 40+ catch day as well. Love the advice in the video.
Thanks and happy fishing!
very awewome adviceon the reel and casting Ron. ty so much for touching on it. Great outing and nice tiger buddy..your bud Gerry from NJ
Glad you enjoyed it. Happy fishing!
Beautiful fat browns once again. They sure are eating well. Very pretty tiger to make your day. Brookies were pretty colors as well. What an awesome day for you buddy .
Good outing for sure! Happy fishing!!
2:10 I have asked this question years ago and this is the advice you provided. I used to get line tangle in 1 of every 5 casts. After you provided me with this advice I worked my way up to 1 out of 10 to 1 out of 20, now I really only have line tangle in really tough casting angles when I am really pushing my skills and am sacrificing form to try and make a miracle cast lol. Great Advice!!!
Right on, glad to hear it. If you can't cast well, catching trout will be more difficult! Happy fishing!!
Bravo majstore.
Thanks and happy fishing!
Nice Tiger 🐅
Thanks Trev! Happy fishing!!
Maybe this Schmidty should order some of your Schmidtee's :D lol!
Yes, u should :) Happy fishing!
The under-hand cast seems to make the lure hit the water without a big splash.
The control with hand braking is essential. There are spots where I want a plop and some where I'd prefer a 10.0 platform dive entry. Happy fishing!
Ron, If you could, please post/send the link on where to find/order the slip on snaps. I have had issues with traditional snaps opening in the timber as well. Awesome info, keep up the great vids. Safe fishing!! Thank you!!
There several suppliers on Amazon. Thanks and happy fishing!

I agree. I have a size 30 pflueger and think 35 is the lowest I will go for stream trout from now on. Pair it with some 6-8 lb j braid and it casts a mile
Definitely! Happy fishing!
very true tip on the casting ability. What's your biggest stream brown?
Inland - 25.5 near 6#, lake runner - 35" 21#. Happy fishing!
Nice Tiger! How are the TruDave waders working out for you. I just received my "backup" pair. Hard to resist buying them at their 50% off sale pricing, costing me $63 delivered. Look nice, but proof will be after many trips through the woods and streams!
The Trudave waders I have have been phenomenal. More than 20 outings and still dry! Happy Fishing!!
Do have 1 problem with your size of rod and reel. In my opinion and 50 years plus of trout fishing small streams. Ultra light reel and ice fishing crappie rod is by far best. You can cast in places you can not with your rod . You can control the spinner better with smaller rod. You fish very open water. Try fishing a creek with alder brush. You will see just what I mean. Love the show..
To each their own, thanks for the comment. Happy fishing!!
Have you ever gotten all 4 of the driftless trout in one day?
No, very few rainbows in the driftless and where they are at, there are no tigers. boo! Happy fishing!
@@WisconsinTroutFishing sometime if you get the brown, brook, and tiger then you should go to a rainbow trout stream.
@@otterlover2397 I follow ya, but disagree. All four need to come from the same stream to qualify for the quadfecta! I have had a lake runner quad a couple times. Brown, brookie, splake, and steelhead in the same day!! Happy fishing!!!
@@WisconsinTroutFishingyeah it would be very cool to get them from the same stream. Gotta be very few places on earth to get a that unless the tigers and bows are stocked.
@@otterlover2397 That's the challenge! I don't make the game, just try to beat 'em!! Hahaha, happy fishing!!!
No skunk
Never!
NO OFFENCE BUT I USE THESE AND CATCH SOME SOME KILLER BROOKIES
None taken, but the CAPS are dramatic. Happy fishing!
