It is very interesting to learn the similarities and differences between Lean Six Sigman and Project Management and very striking how the two complement each other and play a very vital role in an institution. Maintaining a well skilled and well-informed Lean Six Sigma and Project Management teams will sure be a lifeline for a company that wants to thrive and/grow for a really long time.

Greenbelt is an Intermediate for the Project Manager who brings structure and discipline to the project. Great information!

It was interesting to see some of the similarities and differences between PMP and LSS. It seems that while both practices complement each other, at its core LSS is used to find solutions and PMP is used to implement solutions.

Before watching this video, I didn't think there were many differences between the two. But they overlap quite a bit and they really can learn a lot from each other.

I can see the overlap between project management and lean/six sigma. There are plenty of overlapping method that can be used by LSS green belts and project managements.

Since I just finished a Project Management course and am currently learning the LSS methodology its interesting to see how they are interrelated and there is a very "fine dance" that must be conducted for them to flow operationally and produce successful outcomes for the business. Key point in the video was understanding when to use one, the other or how they be both complimentary. I can see how if the processes aren't managed well...more confusion and inefficiencies can be created.

Both complement one another but PMs help carry out the process with defined measurements where as six sigma use steps to figure out the problem that is not already established

This video outlined many of the PM skills I currently use in order to complete process improvement projects and impressed upon me that it will be useful to enhance those PM skills to grow professional. Also, this course is teaching the terminology and methodology needed for successful process improvement (DMAIC, SIPOC, TIMWOODS, Gates, etc.).

I definitely see how these go hand in hand. It would be nice to get notes or links to other videos that go into greater detail on other items covered for beginners that weren't written out (only discussed), like the charter, A3, and DMAIC.

The similarities show how LSS & PM are vital to the overall improvement of a company and utilizing both can assist with meeting the overall objective by improving the process once the solution has been identified.

  • @jennifersacksteder9846

I like how the video discusses how it shows how these go together and how the champions will select and identify projects to make the phased sequence of projects.

Project management and Lean Six Sigma flow together in many different ways. Both will utilize a charter and the project manager and Lean manager will lead this function.
