Restoration of Valve radio, Philips 15RB677.
This is philips radio from 1967 . It has 5 bands, MW, SW1, SW2 SW3, SW4. Valves are Ech81, Ef89, Ebc81, El84, Em84. Two 5 ohms speakers in it.

This is long back in the early 1970s seen. But restoration is something difficult. EL series valves with EM84 music eye with Record player features are there. The thing is that the spares are not available. Otherwise, these types of radios is not easily become detective. It lasts longer. If some technicians are available in India then you are lucky enough. I can too repair these but only thing capacitors and resistor parameters required for such radios are not easily available in market.

In Kolkata you can try kumor tuli . A mechanic still repairs radio there. But he is more into transistor radios.

@@ankurpaul1 Sir I have a Philips radio made in Holand in early 1950s and it belongs to my late grandfather. Earlier, my father used to repair it at home itself if it had any faults and he says that the valves were available until some 20 years ago. But now when we go in search of them, the shopkeepers don't even know that there used to be radios with valves. I literally want to restore it and gift it to my grandmother. Do you think there are any chances?
