    The video is nice with good information, only one important subject is missing. I'm not sure if it's also needed when travelling by plan to Tunisia but at least when travelling by ferry the following rule is to be mentioned! If not resident in Tunisia/ tourists (including those of Algerian nationality): It is mandatory to book a hotel (with vouchers confirming payment by the property before departure) for the entire period of stay in Tunisia and return ticket (excluding Libyan passengers transiting from Tunisia to Libya as their borders are open). This is very important because without this you will be denied entering Tunisia. This rule can be found on the page of the GNV Ferry company under the title: USEFULL INFORMATION FOR TRAVELLING

      If I go by plane, do I have to be carrying the reservation of the hotel as well?

    • @derhollander3479
      @derhollander3479 Před rokem +3

      They can ask about it so it's better to have it with you

      @@derhollander3479 Okay, Thanks! Just one more question, about the Tunisian Dinar, do they have currency exchange houses at the airport? The rates at the airport are higher than in the city?

    • @derhollander3479
      @derhollander3479 Před rokem +3

      Yes they have it directly at the airport, normally in tunisia you get what you see, so if it says 1 euro/dollar equal 3,3 Dinar then you will get this amount. Just that you know: 1 Dinar is 1000 millimes (cents). From the airport to the capital tunis is not more then 6 Dinar (2 euro), take the taxi what stands close to the main road,and just let the meter of the taxi do the work, so don't argue about the price, say you want to travel by contouire ( meter ) of the taxi :-)

    I'm A US Citizen, and I can go there easily, but I 've been trying to find out if I can get a
    Temporary Resident Permit for the reason of my pension and savings, as these are
    not listed as the acceptable "reasons" for qualifying. I'm having some difficulty
    getting a definite answer...

    • @CreativeTravelGuide
      @CreativeTravelGuide  Před rokem

      We aren't legal experts but best of luck with the permit, I would start with the Tunisia travel government website or perhaps the Embassy - www.tunisianembassy.org/visa-services

      Tunisia is a poor country. It will be hard to make money there. The people from there go to other countries to look for job!
