Really appreciate the analysis for the chord tones and theory at the end. Major pentatonic over regular chords can be so hard to make sense of at times. But this as definitely shed some light. Would love a heavens door solo breakdown too. Some of his best work

Hi Justin. I love all your work and you are an amazing teacher. However, you are such an amazing player that everything you do looks just effortless to a point I have no idea which finger you press and/or which string haha. Wish you emphasised it a little more for us noobies.
Ps any lessons or exercises you recommend for chord tone targeting? It seems to be where the magic is for great melody. But I find it very hard to make it second nature and fluid. Amazing work Justin. Best guitar teacher on YT by a mile.

This song is just a response, rip off or homage to the Stones' Dead Flowers off Sticky Fingers! Even tho the song came out in '85, the song is pure 70s, & was prob written in part, by either Slash &/or Axl back IN the 70s as early teens!
I am planning to do a retrograde glam interpretation in my 70s cover band, & make it sound like Slade or T-Rex did it instead, & sort of glamifiy it with crunchy electric guitars and a more swagger type drum groove!
That analysis is correct. Justin once played in a Rolling Stones tribute band.
